A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 296 To Love or Not to Love

Sierra nodded calmly.

Theo watched her for a moment before suddenly asking, "Sierra, does it hurt?"

Her fingers, which had been tapping a rhythm against the car door, paused. It

took her a while to realize why he was asking that.

Ever since they registered their marriage, they had both tacitly avoided

mentioning Benson as if he no longer existed. Somewhere along the way, she had truly forgotten about him.

If not for Edward calling them back, she probably wouldn't have even

remembered his name.

She shook her head. As she turned, she caught the slight shift in Theo's expression and immediately understood what was on his mind.

After what had happened with Melody, they had argued once. She didn't want any more misunderstandings, so she decided to make things clear.

"I cut ties with Benson a long time ago. Why would I feel hurt over him? He's just someone irrelevant. I'd rather spend that time practicing a few more pieces.

"I realized that we're not from the same world long ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't have exposed Sophie's pregnancy."

In a way, she had been the one who pushed Benson and Sophie toward marriage.

Saying it out loud made Sierra feel a sense of relief, the tension in her chest easing. She exuded a soft, radiant glow.

Seeing her like this, a flash of joy crossed Theo's eyes. His grip on her hand tightened slightly.

When they arrived at the manor, they saw that Janet was dressed in a red dress, nitpicking about everything. When she saw the two of them enter, she didn't even bother to put on a smile.

"Theo, your nephew is getting married. Are you not going to show any generosity?"

Dressed in a formal suit, Liam frowned and tried to reason with her. "What nonsense are you talking about? Theo hasn't even had a proper wedding himself."noveldrama

Janet glanced at Sierra, saying, "But they're already married on paper. As his uncle and aunt, it's only natural for them to prepare a wedding gift. I won't ask for much-just five percent of Gray Group's shares."

"Ridiculous," Liam scolded with a cold expression. Then, he turned to Theo and Sierra with an apologetic look. "Ignore her nonsense. A simple congratulatory message is more than enough."

Janet was unwilling to let it go and was about to continue pressing for the shares, but Liam pulled her upstairs first. "Let's go try on some other outfits."

Watching their retreating figures, Theo let out a cold chuckle and led Sierra to sit on the couch.

Upstairs, Janet yanked her hand away and whispered, "Why not ask for the shares? Benson is getting married. If they give up Sierra's shares as a wedding gift, wouldn't that be perfect?"

Liam shot her a mocking look and bluntly scolded, "Idiot. If you're this direct, do you really think they'd agree?"

"Then, what do you suggest?" she asked in a frustrated tone.

He glanced at the room where Benson was changing with a meaningful

expression. "Unless Sierra willingly hands over the shares to Benson, neither Dad nor Theo will allow it."

Janet frowned, thinking it was impossible.

Everyone knew how valuable those shares were. Why would Sierra just hand them over?

Inside the room, Liam sighed regretfully. "Sierra used to love Benson so much. If he hadn't messed up, the two of them would be the ones getting married."

A spark lit up in Janet's eyes as an idea struck her.

That was right. Sierra had once been head over heels for Benson-there was no way she could just stop loving him.

She was probably still upset about Sophie's pregnancy. Once that frustration passed, she would definitely regret it. After all, how many men like Benson were out there-handsome and successful?

When the time came, they'd have Benson sweet-talk her, and she'd make her move. She'd offer a deal-if Sierra handed over her shares, Benson would divorce Sophie.

Sierra would surely agree.
