A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 73

Chapter 73 Keeping Her Accompanied for a Night

Theo held Sierra’s hand tightly and his voice was gloom

Less than a minute later, the on–call doctor arrived at the ward. After examining Sierra, he first had the nurse draw blood and then started her on an anti- inflammatory drip.

“Why is her forehead still so hot?” Theo touched Sierra’s forehead, and his brows knitted deeper. His crimson eyes tumed toward the doctor.

The doctor quickly replied, “Mr. Gray, we’ve just started the IV. The effects won’t be immediate. I’ll have the nurse come and wipe her hands and feet with alcohol for physical cooling”

After the doctor finished speaking, he hurriedly called the nurse over.

Theo observed the nurse as she wiped Sierra’s hands and feet, taking note of the method. Then he stepped forward, saying, “Give it to me, I’ll do it”

The nurse was momentarily stunned. She stood up and watched Theo carefully wiping Sierra on the bed. She couldn’t help being envious.

Such a handsome and attentive man was rare in the world.

Sierra woke up briefly, her eyes barely open. She saw a tall figure by her side, the handsome face bathed in light, looking particularly gentle. It was blurry and hard to distinguish whether it was a reality or a dream.

“Uncle Theo,” she called out. Then, she dritted back into a deep sleep

Theo gently stroked her head, feeling that she was no longer as hot as before. His tense heart slowly relaxed. He just watched her quietly with his dark eyes, and the tendemess in his gaze was obvious

He did not sleep the entire night. Only when dawn broke did Sierra’s fever slowly subside.

When Adrian came to pick Theo up, he saw his weary appearance and frowned. He walked over and spoke softly, “Mr. Gray, you didn’t rest all night. Your body won’t be able to handle it.”

Even the toughest body couldn’t withstand nights without sleep.

Theo released Sierra’s hand, pulled the blanket over her, and looked at her sleeping face. His lips curved into a slight smile before he stood up and walked out of the

“stay here and watch over her. Let me know when she wakes up.”

“Mr. Gray, let me drive you home. You’re looking too tired to drive yourself,” Adrian responded worriedly.

Theo pinched the bridge of his nose and said in a calm voice, “I’ve already had Christopher drive over.” noveldrama

Christopher Zermatt was Theo’s family chauffeur.

Adrian was relieved. “Alright, when Ms. Shaw wakes up, I’ll tell her you stayed with her all night. She’ll definitely be very touched.

Upon hearing this, Theo’s dark eyes flickered slightly. He glanced back at the peacefully sleeping Sierra on the bed and instructed, “No need to tell her.” “Why?” Adrian was puzzled.

It was such a great opportunity, but he didn’t want to make it known?

“I never wanted her gratitude.”

He left those words with deep meaning meaning and turned to leave, leaving Adrian standing at the door, utterly confused.

Adrian didn’t understand Theo at all. He had the little girl deliver flowers and warmth to Sierra before and was also the one who stayed with her all night now. Yet, he didn’t want her to know. Was he secretly in love?

Half an hour later, she slowly stirred awake.

Adrian quickly sent a message to Theo and then called for the doctor.

The doctor checked on Sierra and let out a sigh of relief. “She’s alright now. The fever has gone down, but she needs to stay in the hospital for a few more days for observation in case the fewer spikes again suddenly.”
