Alpha's Second Chance

I was in the shower when I felt fear and one second later I heard screaming, and next I feel everything, rouges.

I rush out of the shower shifting in the process, and instead of running through the castle, I jump out the window. I give full control to Lucian, and he runs towards the town's east side. Wolves are everywhere, she-wolves running for their lives with their pups in their arms. Teens, and the Elders. I see a she-wolves run out of a store chased by a rouge and immediately start running. We surprised the rouge and killed him easily as the she-wolf kept running.

I can feel my family joining the battle, Dad, Enzo, Kyle, Uncle Matt, and even Mom, but that doesn't surprise me. Mom is close, and I run in her direction, and when I get there, I am happy that I did. Six rouges had surrounded her, and even though I knew Mom was one of the best fighters ever, I knew this was too much.

I growl loudly, and they all look at me as I walk towards them. One coward backs behind the other five, while another thinks he can take me alone. He attaches, and I grab the wolf by its neck and break it. Then, Lucian talks.

"I am the king over all kings in our world; don't be a fool. Leave and live. Stay and end like your friend here." He says, showing just how strong his aura is while he still has the dead wolf in his hand.

Two of them attack and Lucian drops the dead wolf on the ground, using his aura to stop the two attacking wolves. Uses his claws to rip open the necks so they bleed out. He looks at the remaining 2 wolves, and they run away.

We look at Mom, and she bows at us. I feel her in my mind.

"Thank you, my king." She says, and we realize that our Aura is too strong even for her, and we let it die down.

"You welcome, Mom," I say, and she smiles.

"I love you, Son." She says and disappears into the fight shifting to her own lycan, good.

After another hour in the battle, the rouges pull back and run away. And Lucian calms down. We begin walking back to the center, seein many dead wolves on the ground. Mostly rouges, but some of ours, too, and I growl to myself.

I killed more than fifty wolves. And there a many, many more all over. I know my family is safe. I can feel it, so I am not surprised to see them all gathered. Dad, Mom, and Enzo are all back in human form, but I was in the shower, so be naked if I shift. Dad smiles at me proudly when he sees me, and so do they all, including the warriors.

"Well done, my son. Everyone could feel you in this battle, not just you but your Beta." Dad says, and the warriors cheer.

'Thank you, for saving your mom.' Dad says in my head. And I nod my head to him.

"How big was this attack? There are so many dead." Lucian ask.

"At least a thousand. I have people counting the dead. This was purely to just attack, as the rouges know, if they ask we let them in to get food." Dad says, and Kyle agrees.

"Rose? Antonio? The twins? And, of course, Kate and Anna and the kids. Are they safe?" I ask to be sure. But they confirm my feelings about them all being safe.

"Kate was at the house at hour, and she is with Rose," Enzo says, and I nod my head.

"Good, I would shift, but I was in the shower when this started," I say and grin, and they all laugh.

When I was sure it would be okay, Lucian walked back to the castle, and when we were back home, we shifted. We had killed a lot of rouges and were full of blood, so I went to shower again and got dressed.

When I was done I went outside to help where I could, removing the dead, or help getting wounded wolves to the hospital. I walked out of the hospital and saw Gina walking here helping another wounded elder wolf.

"Let me help," I say, walking over to take the weight from the older man.

"Thank you. He couldn't walk on his leg. I think maybe it's broken," Gina said.

"It is okay I'll get him inside. Sit down and rest, Gina," I tell her and get the wolf inside.

When I got back outside, she was still there, waiting and she started walking to me, looking like she going to hug me. I stopped her before she could. We were in public, and I've dve always made sure no one but my family knew she used to visit me.

'Careful, remember the rules we made.' I mindlink her, and she stops.

'Sorry, my king, I was just happy to see you not hurt.' She answers carefully in our mindlink.noveldrama

'I know, and I am not mad. We just need to remember them.' I tell her and she nods her head.

'Can I visit tonight?' She asks, and I shake my head.

'Not tonight, I will be busy helping here.' I answer, and she again nods, accepting what I said.

We walk each our way to do what we can for others, and I think a bit about Gina, knowing I need to talk to her soon She must know I no longer feel I can do what we have. We need to stop, out of respect for her but also Madeleine. So I can tell her I have been with no one since I realized she is my mate.
