Time flew. In the blink of an eye, the holidays everyone looked forward to arrived. As the calendar neared the dates, everyone heaved a great sigh of relief as if they had gotten rid of the burden on their shoulders.

In the office handling the drafts, Victoria was both overjoyed yet down at the same time. That was because every time others ended their schedule for a break, it was her busiest period of the year.

"The eleventh. I should probably stay at home for a proper rest. What should I do by then?"

While muttering, she plotted a recent plan in her mind.

It was the most festive time of the year, so malls and tourist destinations must be packed. She wasn't the slightest interested in joining the fun and preferred the idea of a relax and chill at home!

After thinking it through, she dialed Trevor's number. "Honey, it's the holidays. Are you going to take a break?"

"Hmm? Didn't you say that you're going to make a fortune on the opening day? Who was the one that couldn't stop lamenting about it? I've just arranged to work overtime, and I took one day out to spend it with you!"

Flipping through his schedule, Trevor couldn't help knocking on his forehead. Had he been in a haste?

"Just in time! I want to have a feast and watch a movie with you! Hubby, it's such an important day, so let's not leave the house. Come back earlier, so we'll have a candlelight dinner, shall we?"

Before the smile on Trevor's lips could form, her high-pitched voice sounded from the other end of the line, "How about hotpot? Red wine with hot pot. How creative!"

Rolling his eyes, Trevor was at a loss for words. "Just admit to the fact that you're lazy and stupid. You can't help flattering yourself, can you?!" Whenever she offered to cook, and two of them had dinner at home, there were eight out of ten times when they would have hotpot for the meal! Chuckling, Trevor had to admit that she was smart. Even if she was awful at cooking, she could find the perfect solution to the problem. No matter how terrible her cooking skills were, she could definitely prepare hotpot as it required the least cooking skills!

Initially, he had never hated hotpot and had always been fond of the idea of enjoying hotpot. Right then, however, Trevor could feel the urge to throw up whenever the thought sank in. No matter how delicious a type of food was, he would get sick of it if he were to eat it all the time!

She seemed to be the exception as if she couldn't get enough of it no matter how often she enjoyed it!

"Honey, don't be so straightforward. I'll be embarrassed!"

With her tongue stuck out, Victoria scribbled the paper in embarrassment. She had always been trying hard to cook, but her ability was limited as she wouldn't want him to test her experimental dishes either. That was why she would always be well prepared by sparing more time. If the dishes were edible, she would not turn to her last resort, which was hotpot!

She was a glutton, but she wasn't the slightest talented in cooking. As such, she was particularly envious of Alicia!

Whenever Alicia was around, Victoria would be able to hold on a little longer. If she was required to cook all by herself, it was over!

She had, however, always believed that although she could not cook a variety of scrumptious dishes, there wasn't any problem for her to acquire the skills of mastering a few. It was merely a matter of time!

"Yes, you can do it!"

As she motivated herself, her fists subconsciously clenched to give herself more encouragement deep down.

"Well, I'll cook tonight! What do you want to eat? Get the necessary ingredients ready, and I'll cook for you!" "Honey, can you?"

Jolting up to her feet, Victoria's eyes shone with excitement although she was somewhat dazed. "I mean...can you cook all the dishes there is?" "It should, at least, be edible!"

After teasing her, the corners of Trevor's lips curled into a slight grin. "Gosh. To try to please her, I acquired a new skill after getting married." He sighed deep down.

He had no idea why, but although he had to enter the kitchen and experiment with all kinds of dishes after work, which was something new to him, he had never been tired of it. Contrary, he found it sweet and enjoyable. Was that what others meant by getting work easier done with couples working together?

That was why the two of them ended up distributing their tasks evenly. She was required to get the ingredients ready and wash the dishes, while he concentrated on the cooking. If the two of them enjoyed their meals together, had a chat, and

After handling the affairs of the studio over to her employees, Victoria packed her bag and left the building.

On the way home, she entered a supermarket and bought a lot of food. "Beefsteak, two of them! Tomatoes, my favorite. Tripe, his favorite..."

In the supermarket, she pushed the

cart along the aisles. Whenever she picked something up, she would mutter about it. After getting all the ingredients ready, she pushed the cart in the direction of the snack region and selected her favorite snacks such as jelly and potato chips. Before heading for the cashier, she bought a bag of chocolates on sale before pushing the cart out of the mart.

While stroking the gift toy in the transparent bag, Victoria poked the ears of the bear with the corners of her lips lifted into a slight grin.

"You're pretty cute! Tell me. Is there something wrong with me for buying a box of high calories chocolate just to get you?"

It was indeed a foolish act!

The crowd bustled. Turning around, Victoria picked up the box of chocolate before she finally placed it back in the shopping basket. She was not the only one who bought the product for the gift!

"Since I like it, I'll buy it then!" Though so, she would probably not eat the chocolate, so it was a waste to throw it away!

When the thought crossed her mind, her gaze inadvertently landed on the packaging of a chocolate cake topped with fruits. With a flash of inspiration, Victoria had an idea.noveldrama

Pushing the shopping cart, she rushed to get some flour in a hurry.

"Hurry up. I'm in a hurry!"

"Miss, please line up! It's my turn. How could you cut the queue?"

Frowning, Victoria seethed. There were counters, among which were empty ones. Why did she have to cut the queue? What a disgusting person! "What? It's your turn? Did anyone see that you're in front of me in the line? Call that person out! Who is it? Who is it? Who saw it? I was clearly in front of you! Hurry up! Hurry up! Can't you see that I'm in a hurry? I've wasted my time on you!"

After yelling at Victoria, the young woman turned to roar at the waiter. As their eyes met, Victoria noticed how the waiter was a young skinny girl and was obviously a novice. With a timidface, she was shocked. It was then she decided to cast Victoria an apologetic glance by settling the woman's payment before hers.

Tapping on the keyboard, she soon withdrew a receipt. Both the speed of her hands and speech were so swift that they seemed to be flying across

the keyboard. It was as though she was afraid of Victoria making a fuss.
