Chapter 146 Chapter 146 SAGE

I barged into His Majesty's breakfast hall the next morning. All eyes were on me as I walked through the door.

Titus' eyes were glued on me as he watched me with amusement as if he was excited to know what I'm about to say.

"I need to go out. I need to buy some personal stuff," I said without introduction.

He squinted his eyes as I waited for his response. I stand still, trying my best to be bothered by his

mesmerizing blue eyes. After a couple of minutes, he pulled his eyes back to his plate and continued eating.

"Please tell me, dear kitten. You're not a guest here, so why would I do that again?" He asked without bothering to look at me.

I crossed my arms in front of my chest, and I tried to control the fury burning inside me. "You said I'm not a prisoner. Now, you're telling me I'm not a guest. So, what am I then?" I challenged him.

He smirked as he lifted his icy blue eyes and looked at me intently. "My breeder, my bedwarmer, my slave," he replied casually.

My blood boils upon hearing that. I wanted to shout at him and curse him, but I needed to control myself. I need to get his trust so I will be able to get out of this place even just for a while.

I bit my lower lip to stop myself from saying anything that would make the situation worse. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself down. But as soon as I open my eyes, I meet his icy blue eyes looking at me intently, and before I know it, he grabs my hand and pulls me on his lap.

I was too stunned to speak as I felt his growing bulge against my butt. My eyes widened in shock as I glared at him in disbelief. I felt embarrassed knowing there were a lot of people watching us right now, but to my surprise, I found the room already empty.

When did everybody leave?

I haven't recovered from my surprise when he tilted my chin towards him. "Eyes on me, kitten," he said. "Now, where are we?" he said, continuing our conversation. "Oh, yeah. About you warming my bed," he added.

Here's an expanded version with simple words and more emotional depth:

"Fine!" I snapped, lifting my chin defiantly. "Why don't we do it now and get it over with? That's all you want, right? Then let's do it so I can leave already!"

Bravery masked the storm raging inside me, but I refused to show weakness. If he wanted to play games, I would meet him head-on.

Titus chuckled, the deep, rich sound vibrating through me like a slow, unsettling hum. His arms tightened around my waist,

holding me in place with effortless 807.

"You still don't get it, do you?" His voice was smooth, almost teasing, but there was something dark lurking beneath the surface. "You're not going anywhere until you give me an heir."

My stomach twisted at his words.

He leaned in closer, his breath warm against my ear. "So, do pray that our first child is a boy. But even if it's a girl, he paused, his lips curving into a knowing smirk, "I wouldn't mind making another one

A shiver ran down my spine, though whether from anger or something else, I wasn't sure.

I forced myself to meet his gaze, refusing to back down. "Why me?" I asked, my voice quieter but no less sharp. "Why do you need me when you have your queen? Shouldn't she be the one giving you an heir? I regretted the words the moment they left my lips.

A muscle in his jaw twitched, and his easy smirk vanished. His gaze darkened, burning with something unreadable, something dangerous. The air between us grew thick, charged with unspoken tension.

I had struck a nerve.

The air between us thickened, the silence stretching long and heavy, pressing down on my chest like a weight I couldn't shake. Titus didn't speak, but he didn't have to. I could see it in the way his fingers curled into fists, his body growing rigid, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked as though he was holding back something dangerous.

His dark eyes locked onto mine, burning with something raw and unspoken. Fury. Frustration. Desire. A storm of emotions that I couldn't quite decipher.

Then, before I could react, his hand shot out, fingers wrapping around the nape of my neck. A startled gasp left my lips as he yanked me forward, the space between us vanishing in an instant, leaving only a few inches enough for us to breathe.

His breath was warm, uneven, ghosting against my lips. "I hate that smart mouth of yours," he murmured, his voice low, rough, dripping with both irritation and something far more dangerous.

I gasped as soon as he crashed his lips against mine.

It wasn't gentle. It wasn't soft or hesitant. It was fierce, claiming, like he was punishing me for the words I had dared to say. His lips crashed against mine with a force that stole my breath, searing and

demanding.

I froze, my mind screaming at me to push him away, to fight, to resist-but my body betrayed me, melting under the intensity of his touch. His grip tightened at my nape, holding me captive as if daring me to challenge him further.

Heat coiled in my stomach, a fire I didn't want to acknowledge. This was wrong. This was a mistake. And yet, trapped in his grasp, lost in the dominance of his kiss, I couldn't find the strength to pull away.

A war raged inside me-logic against sensation, resistance against the undeniable pull of his touch. My mind screamed at me to shove him away, to fight, to do anything but let him consume me like this. And yet, my body refused to listen.

Titus kissed me with a hunger that sent shivers down my spine, his fingers tightening against my nape, holding me in place. The heat between us was unbearable, scorching every ounce of air in the room. My hands shot up, ready to push him back, but instead, they fisted in the fabric of his shirt, gripping tightly as if I needed something to anchor me in the storm he had created.

I hated him. I hated how he was playing with my life, controlling my fate like I was nothing but a piece on his chessboard. But even as anger fueled me, another traitorous feeling burned beneath it-an intoxicating heat that tangled with my fury in the most infuriating way.

Titus pulled back just enough to let our breaths mingle, his dark eyes searching mine, daring me to deny what had just happened. His smirk returned, lazy and triumphant, as if he had won some silent battle between us.

"Your lips are swollen," he murmured, his voice laced with satisfaction.

I gritted my teeth, forcing myself to steady my breathing. "Go to hell," I hissed, shoving against his chest with all the strength I could muster.

He barely moved, his stance unshaken as if my resistance was nothing more than a mild inconvenience. "Oh, I've been there, little dove," he said, tilting his head. "And I promise you, it's far more forgiving than I am."

I glared at him, my heart hammering against my ribs. "You should have stayed there.

Titus chuckled, dark and amused. "Oh, I'm afraid I can't do that." His fingers traced a slow path from my swollen lips down my cleavage.

"You want to leave?" Titus asked, one brow lifting in challenge. "Then give me what I want."

His words sent a cold twist through my stomach. I swallowed hard. "You want me in your bed," I murmured, my voice barely more than a breath.

A slow, wicked grin spread across his face. "Smart girl," he murmured, his fingers grazing over my chest, deliberate and teasing.

I forced myself to stay still, to keep my voice steady. "Fine. I'll give you what you want-tonight. But you have to let me go for now." My breathing was uneven, but I held my ground.

His eyes darkened with amusement. "And how do I know you won't go back on your word?"noveldrama

I rolled my eyes, exasperation masking the nervous energy coiling inside me. "Where else would I go?" I grabbed his hand and placed it on my thigh, right where his enchanted bracelet rested against my skin. "You made sure I can't escape, remember?"

Titus smirked, his gaze dropping to where his hand rested. My breath hitched when he suddenly tried to slip his fingers beneath my skirt.

I slapped his hand away before he could go any further, my pulse racing. "Not until I come back," I warned, my tone firm despite the shiver running down my spine.

Titus let out a low chuckle, his smirk deepening as he watched me with those sharp, knowing eyes. "Fine," he finally said, though the warning in his tone was clear. "But don't test my patience, Sage. Don't even try to do anything stupid." Titus finally let me go. I quickly stood up, putting distance between us. "Understood," I replied. In fear that he might change his mind, I turned sharply on my heel and strode toward the door, my legs steady even as my heart pounded.

The second I was out of that suffocating room, I inhaled deeply, filling my lungs with air that didn't feel thick with his presence. My hands trembled at my sides, but I didn't stop moving.

I had work to do. This is my only chance to check on my kids.
