Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 57

Chapter 57:

Susan’s icy gaze met Michelle’s mocking grin. “Laugh all you want. Natural Beauty prioritizes quality over everything else. We’ll outperform your products eventually.”

“Really? Ha! We’ll see about that,” Michelle and her group continued their mocking laughter.

Brenda, unwilling to engage further, led her group away. As they reached the roadside, a sleek car pulled up beside them, and the window rolled down to reveal Madisyn’s smiling face.

“Thanks for your hard work today. Dinner’s on me,” Madisyn said warmly.

Everyone exchanged surprised glances, not expecting such an offer.

When they got into the car, they noticed a man already seated inside. His good looks and distinct presence made everyone immediately nervous.

Sensing the tension, Madisyn smiled, trying to ease the atmosphere. “Relax.”

Then, to everyone’s surprise, the man spoke up. “Hello, I’m Miss Johns’s assistant,” Andrew introduced himself.

The group exchanged skeptical looks. Was he really just an assistant? His presence and appearance seemed to suggest otherwise. Some of them started speculating silently—maybe Madisyn was living a lavish lifestyle, perhaps even keeping a “pretty boy.”

Madisyn, noticing their strange expressions, sighed internally. It was fine that they were relaxed, but why were their thoughts drifting in that direction?

Soon, they arrived at the New Moon Restaurant, a renowned and luxurious establishment.

“Miss Johns, are we really dining here?” one of them asked in awe.

“Yes, any problems?”

“The average cost here is 1000 dollars per person,” one employee whispered, clearly astonished.

Madisyn chuckled. “Dinner’s on me, don’t worry.”

“Wow, Miss Johns is awesome!” someone cheered, and the mood quickly turned festive as they stepped into the lavishly decorated restaurant.

Meanwhile, in another section of the mall, Michelle and her group had entered a different restaurant. “You’re so generous treating us here, Ms. Frey,” one of her colleagues remarked.

“Of course, we’re with Miggie Skincare now, not Natural Beauty,” Michelle replied smugly.

As Michelle settled into her seat, she couldn’t resist sending a photo to Brenda, flaunting her evening.

Back in the New Moon Restaurant, Brenda received the message but chose not to respond. She wasn’t interested in Michelle’s petty taunting. Instead, she focused on enjoying the dinner with her colleagues.

As they began digging into a feast of lobster and other delicacies, Susan couldn’t help but express her gratitude. “Thank you, Miss Johns. This is incredible.”

Madisyn smiled. “You’re welcome. Enjoy.”

At that moment, Andrew carefully peeled a shrimp and offered it to Madisyn. She hesitated for a second, feeling the gesture was overly intimate, but Andrew’s earnest expression softened her.

The other employees exchanged knowing glances and smiles, watching the scene unfold. Madisyn, feeling slightly embarrassed by their reactions, focused on her meal, while Andrew seemed unfazed by the attention.

Later, Madisyn excused herself to the restroom. When she returned, she found Andrew waiting outside.

“Why are you out here?” she asked, surprised.

“I didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable by staying inside,” Andrew explained calmly.

Madisyn sighed. “Maybe you shouldn’t accompany me next time.”

Andrew’s gaze lingered on her, as if he understood something deeper than she was willing to admit.

Madisyn suddenly felt guilty, worried that she might have been too harsh. “Alright, let’s head back in,” she said, softening her tone.

As they approached the door, they overheard the employees inside laughing and chatting.

“I think Miss Johns is really living the high life. Did you see that handsome man with her? He’s not just her assistant, is he?” one of them remarked.

“He could easily be a celebrity. They definitely make a good pair,” another chimed in.

Madisyn’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she heard the conversation.

Andrew chuckled softly. “If we don’t go in soon, they might come up with even wilder stories.”

Madisyn took a deep breath. “Let them talk. We’ll wait out here a bit longer.”

They lingered in the hallway, enjoying the cool evening breeze from the restaurant’s air conditioning. As Madisyn leaned against the railing, feeling a slight chill, she suddenly felt the warmth of Andrew’s coat draped over her shoulders. His familiar cologne filled the air, and she glanced up at him.

Andrew’s eyes were deep and captivating, holding her gaze for a moment longer than she was comfortable with. She quickly averted her eyes, the silence growing heavier between them.

In an attempt to break the tension, Madisyn blurted out, “My friend thinks you’re so kind to me because you have feelings for me.”

The moment she said it, she realized how blunt it sounded. Quickly, she added, “But of course, I know you’re kind to me because of Waylon.”noveldrama

Andrew’s response was immediate and firm. “No.”
