Chapter 2089
Stella bit her lip, taking her time after a shower and a thorough wash before she slowly made her way downstairs.
Beck was already gone, apparently Dylan had called him early in the morning to take care of the kids.
Suddenly, Stella found herself with nothing to do, aimlessly gazing at the flowers outside the villa.
In the evening, just after she took some fever medicine, she saw Beck's car pull into the driveway.
Beck stepped out with a bouquet of flowers in his arms, chatting and laughing with someone on the phone.
Stella paused, putting down the fruit she was about to eat.
Without saying a word, she watched him go upstairs to change into a smart outfit, then head out again with the flowers.
Stella stood there, pondering for a moment before deciding to greet him.
"Beck, are you heading out on a date?"
Beck seemed to notice her for the first time, nodding slowly before asking, "Feeling better?"
"A bit."
Nodding again, Beck stepped on the gas and left.
Stella opened her mouth to say something more but ultimately didn't know what to ask.
After Beck drove away, she stood there, lost in thought, unsure of her own feelings.
It wasn't until Dave called, mentioning that Morgan had realized he'd been scammed and was now figuring out how to pay back $1.5 million.
Dave ridiculed, "Seriously, your so-called brother is brainless, falling for such a simple scam. Jason loaned him $100,000, and with interest, it's now $150,000. Instead of seeking help from Boris, Morgan went back to Jason for another loan of $100,000."
Stella couldn't help but laugh; Beck really was clueless.
"Where's Morgan now?"
"Just got the additional $100,000 and went to the bar to meet his so-callednoveldrama
friends, probably hoping to borrow money to pay off the debt."
But Boris had already warned everyone, and nobody was willing to lend him money.
Deciding to witness Morgan's embarrassment herself, Stella changed and applied heavy makeup, pretending to be a bartender.
Finding the private room where Morgan was, she walked in with a tray.
Morgan was just pleading for a loan. Back in the day, he wouldn't hesitate to lend money to these friends, but now, they turned a blind eye and pretended not to hear him.
Feeling unprecedented
embarrassment, Morgan scannedet
the faces of his six friends, usually hung out and
"Now, when I need $100,000, none of you can spare a little over $10,000 for me?"
Their faces showed discomfort.
"Morgan, your dad warned us. We don't dare cross him."
"Yeah, our family businesses rely on his support."
"My family just partnered with yours on a project. If I lend you money, I'd get disowned."
Morgan, in a fit of rage, swept all the bottles off the table, filling the air with the smell of alcohol.
Stella, watching from a corner, saw Morgan making a fool of himself.
But the real show was just beginning.
The friends, now irritated, called the bar manager to throw Morgan out.
"I'd like to see who dares! I'm a Sanders!" Morgan exclaimed. Laughter erupted in the room.
"Really think you're some kind of prince? Does the Sanders family even acknowledge you?"
"Try flaunting your title in front of Beck; he probably doesn't even recognize you as his brother."
"Morgan, we all have our businesses, however small. You're the only one always leeching off Boris. You're the most incompetent and the biggest show-off among us."
As tempers flared, a brawl broke out. Morgan, outnumbered, ended up bruised
and battered.
Feeling more wronged than ever, tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Damn it! I'll fight you all!"
"Morgan, you're nothing but a mad dog!"
The
Stella.

friend in the room amused
downfall but hadn't expected his
to turn on him so
Cously.
Eventually, the bouncers threw Morgan out.
He used to frequent this bar, and the regulars, recognizing him, laughed at his
plight.
Once, Morgan thought himself above others, but overnight, he became a laughingstock.
What do you think?
