"Where have you been these days?" Paige demanded, her voice laced with

impatience.

In response, Leo slumped lazily onto the sofa.

Had Alistair been present, he'd have been flabbergasted. In just one night, Leo

seemed to have shaken off the shackles of heartbreak. He was brimming with life
