Chapter 1620
Upon hearing Jackson's words, the room fell silent. No one dared to speak up, so they just nodded along. "There's still a week before summer break, so Fiona will head back early," Jackson said, taking Fiona's hand and leading her away from the school.
The gossip swirling around wasn't doing Fiona any favors, so Jackson figured taking her to the Woods family's estate would keep her safe from it all. "But I don't want to go to the Woods family, brother," Fiona protested, looking up at Jackson with pleading eyes. "Can we go to the Rose Palace instead?"
The Rose Palace was Jackson's usual hideaway, a place where Fiona could find some peace. "Alright," he agreed.
As they walked out of the school, whispers of disapproval followed them. Students were buzzing: how could someone with such a bad rep still have Jackson wrapped around her finger?
In the infirmary, Yvenne came to, fully aware that this incident wouldn't be easy for Fiona. Her head was pounding, and as she tried to get up, someone gently nudged her back down. "You should stay put, you've got some injuries," said Keaton, who had been keeping an eye on her, knowing her knack for design.
"Professor," Yvenne murmured, tears welling up as she looked at him, feeling the weight of everything crash down. Despite knowing Keaton had always given Fiona extra attention, she couldn't help but wonder where she fell short.
"Get some rest. Your situation's a bit special. I've arranged for you to stay in the dorms over the summer, and you can reach out to the art teacher whenever you need," Keaton reassured her.
Yvenne nodded, mulling things over, but decided not to ask about what would happen to Fiona.
"Keaton, you're stuck in the past! Fiona needs to be taught a lesson for this. If she gets away with it now, who knows what she'll do later?" a female teacher exclaimed as she entered. Seeing Yvenne looking so fragile on the bed tugged at her heartstrings. She had heard about Yvenne's passion for painting and her flair for design, and was eager to support her.
"It's such a shame to meet you like this," she sighed. "How are you holding up, Miss Zhang?" she asked gently, offering a warm smile. "You need to take care of yourself. Thank goodness nothing too serious happened, or we'd have lost a star stúdent."
"Oh, it's nothing," Yvenne replied bashfully, though inside she was thrilled. "Fiona didn't mean to push me. She was just stressed, and with so many people around, it's understandable she slipped up."
Her graceful handling of the situation won over the teachers. "You're so forgiving, yet she treats you poorly. Why not switch to my class, Class Five? We don't have these issues," the teacher suggested.
"No way," Keaton cut in. Yvenne belonged in Class Nineteen, and he wasn't about to let her be whisked away, especially now that her design talent was recognized.
"Keaton, you're being so controlling!
How can you decide for Miss
Zhang?" the female teacher insisted, taking Yvenne's hand warmly. "Miss Zhang, Class Five is wonderful. We wouldn't let anything like this happen, and I promise to keep everyone safe." noveldrama
