Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1636

In the Royal Suite, Fiona was fast asleep, enveloped by the familiar scents and warmth she knew so well. That night, she slept more soundly than she had in years. Jackson sat quietly at the edge of the bed, his eyes soft with tenderness as he held her hand, a gentle smile never leaving his face. He wished time could freeze right then and there so he could be with Fiona forever. With a tender smile, he reached out to caress Fiona's face, his touch filled with longing.

The next morning, Fiona slowly opened her eyes, suddenly sitting up with a start. She couldn't remember a thing from the previous night. Diving under the covers, she realized her clothes had been swapped for clean ones—she was wearing Jackson's shirt!

Oh, no!

Her voice rang through the room. Jackson rushed in when he heard her, and their eyes met, leaving them momentarily at a loss for words.

After a pause, Fiona was the first to speak, "Last night, I...I..."

She was too embarrassed to continue, glancing from Jackson to herself and pointing at the shirt she wore. "This..."

"I changed you," Jackson said simply.

Fiona blushed deeply, embarrassment flooding over her. "You were sick last night,

not just on yourself but all over me too."

Fiona: "What?!"

She got drunk and threw up on Jackson?

"Out of necessity, I changed your clothes. I'll take responsibility."

Responsibility? Who needed that kind of reassurance? Fiona was almost steaming with irritation.

"No need, it was an accident," Fiona muttered, adjusting her clothes. Later, they sat across from each other in the dining room, silently eating breakfast until noon when Fiona finally left the Royal Suite.

Back at the Lakeside Villa, Jasmine was fuming, waiting for Fiona's return. As soon as Fiona walked in, Jasmine unleashed her fury.

"Ungrateful little woman!"

"Traitor who ditches friends for a pretty face!"

"I'll never trust you again!"

Through it all, Fiona didn't say a word, just stared at Jasmine with such intensity it made her skin crawl. Jasmine stepped back instinctively, feeling like Fiona was a predator and she the prey.

"Stop looking at me like that, you're scaring me."

Fiona cornered her until she had nowhere left to retreat and finally spoke, "I remember your dad and Zoe's dad are pretty close."

"Old friends, really tight," Jasmine blurted out, then quickly caught herself. "What are you planning?"

"Well, I'd appreciate it if your dad could pass along a message."

Fiona's crafty expression sent shivers down Jasmine's spine. "Tell him the Larkin family should think twice before getting mixed up with the main branch of the Woods family, unless they're ready for total ruin."

"Couldn't I just tell Zoe directly? Why involve my dad?"

Fiona smiled knowingly. The message would only carry weight if delivered through Jasmine's father otherwise, no matter what she and Jasmine said, it would fall on deaf ears with Zoe. After all, Zoe was the

kind who'd stop at nothing to get what she wanted. noveldrama

"Even though don't know what you're up to can't help but have your back, Jasmine said, making call. Within half an hour, the

entrance to the Lakeside Villa blocked. Jasmine's father had swiftly taken action.

The main branch of the Woods family-a name not just anyone in the Capital

could mess with-was now making its presence known in the city.
