Chapter 389
"Shawna, since the car is here, let's get home," Dustin said.
"Okay." Shawna nodded. She did not want to stay at this reunion any longer.
The two of them stood up.
Shawna's ex-classmates wanted to get them to stay, but no one dared to speak up. They all thought that they did not have the right to do so.
"Oh, right!" Dustin suddenly stopped walking. He looked over at the pale-faced Marco. "Mr. Guerrero, please remember to pay your bill in full. Majestic Hotel does not typically offer discounts to most people."
Marco's face stiffened.
"A-Alright..." Marco nodded.
Dustin smiled and took Shawna's hand to lead her outside. The guests all watched as they left.
Meanwhile, Tucker bowed very low.
At the entrance to the hotel, Shawna could feel her heart race when she saw the blue Rolls-Royce Phantom.
She had never sat in such a high-class luxury car before.
The car she drove only cost a bit over 100 thousand dollars. She probably could not afford to buy even a single tire of a car that cost several hundred thousand dollars.
"Let's go." Dustin opened the car door for Shawna.
Shawna breathed in and was about to step into the car when someone shouted from behind.
"Wait! Wait for me..."
Dustin and Shawna turned back to find Devina jogging over as she cried out. She nearly tripped over her own feet.
Dustin frowned.
"Shawna, wait for me!"
Devina quickly ran to them. When she saw the gorgeous sports car, her eyeballs nearly fell out.
This kind of thing was lethal to gold diggers like her.
“It's pointless for me to stay when you're leaving, Shawna,” Devina said sheepishly. “I want to go home too. Can you give me a lift?" She was speaking to Shawna, but her gaze kept flitting to Dustin.
Her disdainful attitude had disappeared completely, and she changed her stance so quickly that it was a wonder she did not get whiplash. Her only thought was that there was no way she was not sucking up to Dustin.
"Sorry, it's not on the way. You should call a cab for yourself," Dustin said icily. He did not want to show Devina any sympathy at all. noveldrama

Devina's smile froze on her face. She felt very awkward.
She had looked down on Dustin before. It was only after she found out Dustin was influential that she wanted to suck up to him. Thus, she decided to thicken her skin and try again.
"It's been many years since I've seen Shawna. I want to spend more time catching up," she said seriously and looked at Shawna. "Catch up?" Dustin sneered.
He could not be bothered to spend any time on a gold digger like Devina.
"Get lost!" he said icily.
Devina's face darkened.
"We used to be such great friends, Shawna. You know me. I was only influenced by what the others said If not, I would definitely have been on your side!" Devina looked at Shawna and hoped that Shawna would put in a good word for her.
Yet, Shawna was expressionless and acted like she did not know Devina at all.
Dustin and Shawna got into the car and ignored Devina completely.
"Drive," Dustin said flatly.
The driver floored the gas pedal and left Devina coughing with the fumes from the exhaust. All she could do waswatch them leave in

In the car, Dustin was pressed so close to Shawna that he could feel her warm skin on his. Her perfume was intoxicating.
Yet, his face remained unchanged. Shawna was similarly indifferent.
Dustin could hear someone's rapid heartbeat, though.
Shawna looked calm, but her heart was racing.
Soon, the car arrived at the villa, and the two of them got off.
Shawna quickly went to bed. Her thoughts were a mess.
What do you think?
