Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 428

This was especially true for Sammy. At the time, when he noticed Nadine was pregnant and struggling, he kept urging her to go home.

However, back then, Brad was Nadine's whole world, carrying all her hopes and dreams. All she wanted was for him to survive, and she didn't want anyone else to care for him. She feared that others wouldn't do it as well as she could. Hence, no matter how hard or tiring it was, she insisted on taking care of him herself.

Realizing how determined she was, Sammy would step in to help care for Brad whenever she was too exhausted. That was when the two of them became friends. They rarely stayed in touch, only reaching out when something came up.

Nadine was well aware that he was one of Brad's closest friends, and she remembered how he had helped her back then, so she made an effort to be polite. "Mr. Jones, if you're calling to ask me to see Brad, I suggest you give up. There's nothing left between Brad and me except a divorce.

"I've never forgotten what you've done for me, and I only answered your call because I see you as a friend. I genuinely hope you're not calling to plead Brad's case." Her voice was gentle, yet resolute.

Sammy could hear the resolve in her voice. He smiled and responded, "Don't worry. I know you're determined to get a divorce, Ms. Scott, and I support your decision." He admired Nadine platonically.

"Over the years, we've seen how much you've done for Brad, and we've always felt it was unfair to you. Brad doesn't know how lucky he is and has taken you for granted. It's his loss, not yours," he said.

Being an attorney, Sammy knew this wasn't the time to upset Nadine, so he made sure to keep his words calm and reassuring.

Nadine felt validated when she heard him supporting her decision to divorce Brad. Her tone softened as she said, "Mr. Jones, since you're his attorney, do you think you could talk Brad into divorcing me as soon as possible?"

At this point, she felt nothing for Brad. All she wanted was to divorce him and move on. It would be ideal if Sammy could help.

Sammy readily agreed. "Of course! I'll talk to Brad when the time is right, though I can't guarantee it'll work."

His tone was slow and measured, always putting himself in her shoes. It didn't take long for him to gain her trust, "Thank you, Mr. Jones! If manage to get divorced, you'll be the first person I thank!"

Sammy chuckled. "There's no need to thank me. Brad might have been blind to everything you've done for him over the years, but the rest of us have noticed. You've got nothing to apologize for-he's the one who failed you.

"To be honest, now's the ideal time to get a divorce. Brad's so wasted he doesn't even know who's around him. If you bring the divorce agreement over now and get him to sign his name, everything wittbe settled, right?"

Her eyes lit up. Nadine had to admit that Sammy's suggestion was nothing short

of genius. "Thanks for the tip, Mr. Jones! I'll be right there. Please send me the address!"

Sammy smirked, feeling quite pleased with herself. "Alright, I'll send it to you right after I hang up."noveldrama

"Goodbye!"

Alex stared at Sammy, who was grinning from ear to ear, in utter disbelief. "Dude! Are you really going to screw Brad over like this?"
