Requiem of a Broken Heart

Chapter 798

Chapter 798:

After Rachel left, Natalia had been sent abroad for a while. Once she confirmed Rachel was safe, they had kept in touch online, but they hadn’t seen each other in person for a long time.

Brian’s voice was low when he finally spoke again. “Let’s just go back.”

She wasn’t fooled. She knew him too well—beneath his calm tone was pure jealousy and frustration.

“You’re upset now, huh?” She let out a dramatic sigh. “But let’s not forget how many times you made Rachel feel this way.”

Natalia shook her head. “Well, love is all about the highs and lows, Brian. Maybe once you’ve felt every bit of the pain you put her through, she’ll come back to you.”

Brian’s hands tightened into fists. His voice barely rose above a whisper. “Do you really think that day will ever come?”noveldrama

He shut his eyes before she could answer—almost too afraid to hear the truth.

As Rachel wheeled Allan back into his hospital room, she glanced down at him.

“What do you feel like having for dinner?”

Before Allan could respond, Alban piped up,

“Mr. Vance likes fish.”

Allan shot him a glare.

“Nobody asked you!”

Rachel chuckled.

“Alright, I’ll bring you some fish and vegetables. They’ll be light and easy to digest.”

Allan barely hesitated.

“And some shrimp.”

Rachel raised an eyebrow.

“You haven’t fully recovered yet. Shrimp—and most seafood, really—are hard on the stomach.”

Alban smirked.

“Ms. Marsh, can’t you tell? He’s only asking for your favorite dishes. He wants you to eat with him.”

Rachel turned back to Allan, her lips curling into a small smile.

“Okay,” she agreed without hesitation. “I’ll go buy the ingredients and start cooking.”

She had barely stepped out the door when a familiar voice called out.

“Rachel!”
