Chapter 830
Chapter 830:
Allison blinked, startled by the unexpected counsel. “Thank you, Mrs. Blake. I’ll keep that in mind.”
“You’re a smart girl,” Mollie replied, her expression warm yet knowing. She could tell Allison harbored secrets, and that she wasn’t a simple woman; her use of the roofie had been a clear sign. Yet, she chose not to press further.
Instead, her thoughts drifted to Verruckt. What would it be like if someone ever tamed that wild, unpredictable force? It would be so interesting.

But even as she said it, she listened to every word.
Jareth began, “Mayor Bill Onett wants a meeting with us tomorrow. Looks like what we did tonight was over the top, and now we have to go to District Three to face punishment.”
He held up his phone and showed Verruckt the information on the screen.
“The fallout from this is huge. Josh wasted no time and put pictures of his injuries in the newspaper. It also says two hundred people died,” Jareth explained.noveldrama
Verruckt let out a sneer. “That sly old fox,” he muttered. Allison, who had been eavesdropping, furrowed her brow. She’d assumed Josh was the one pulling the strings.
