Chapter 653
Beth looked at Bradley with concern. "You can't keep working yourself to the borte. You need to take care of yourself, too."
Bradley smiled and put his arm around her shoulders. "Mom, I'm doing just fine. You don't have to worry about me."
"There's one more thing," Beth said, looking at him intently.
"What is it?" Bradley asked.
Beth said, “Brad, you're five years older than Camilla, and even she's already settled down. Osborne is married and already has three kids. Don't you think it's about time you started dating, too?"
Bradley paused for a moment, caught off guard.
He shook his head. "Mom, I'm swamped with work. I don't have time for dating."
Beth said, "Work never really ends, you know. You'll be turning twenty-seven in a few months; it's about time you started thinking about settling down."
Bradley shrugged and said, "Mom, even Reginald isn't in a hurry, so why should I be?"
Beth was left speechless for a moment.noveldrama
She sighed helplessly and said, "I'm not trying to force you to get married right now, you know. But can't you at least get yourself a girlfriend? With all those girls at your firm, not a single one has caught your eye?"
Bradley just shook his head. "Nope.”
Beth fell silent again.
After a while, she sighed, "What, are you planning to stay single forever?"
Bradley couldn't help but laugh. "Mom, come on, it's not that dramatic. I just don't feel like dating right now."
Beth pressed, "So when do you actually want to start dating?"
Bradley shrugged and said, "When that person shows up, I guess."
Her face grew serious. "That person?"
Bradley nodded. "Yeah. So far, I just haven't met anyone who makes me want to be in a relationship.
"If she ever shows up, I might just get hitched on the spot.
"Mom, don't be too surprised when that day comes," he added playfully.
Beth chuckled at his words.
"Get hitched on the spot?' she mused to herself
Beth couldn't help but recall how Bradley had thrown caution to the wind a few years back.
In fact, he really might just go through with it.
But that was all in the past now.
Beth let out a sigh. "Brad, can't you just lower the bar a little?"
Bradley shook his head. "Mom, it's late. Go get some sleep, or you'll end up with wrinkles."
Beth gave a helpless smile. "You're just trying to brush me off again."
Bradley walked her back to her room, then finally returned to his own.
Standing under the shower, the hot water washed the
exhaustion away.
Dating Brad thought to himself. "I really dons
for that!
The next day, as soon as Bradley arrived at the firm, his phone rang.
"Hello, is this Mr. Bradley Saunders?" a man's voice asked, sounding all business.
"Yes, this is he. May I ask who's calling?" Bradley replied.
"Mr. Saunders, thank goodness. I finally got in touch with you. I'm with the
property management at Noble Vista," the man said.
Bradley asked, "Is there something you need from me?"
The man explained, "Mr. Saunders, the water pipe at your villa burst last night. We
couldn't reach you, so we had to break down your front door to get in and fix it.
We'd like to talk to you about compensation."
"Villa?" Bradley was confused. "I remember buying a house, not a villa."
That house had a huge garden.
However, he didn't visit it very often.
The property manager was baffled. "How could it just be
Bradley was speechless.
a house? It's definitely a villa."
The man continued, "Mr. Saunders, if it's convenient for you, could you come over
so we can discuss the compensation in person?"
Bradley said, "Give me a sec, let me check my schedule."
He called his assistant and confirmed that he'd be free after six o'clock that evening.
"Alright, I'll be there at eight," Bradley said.
What do you think?
