Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1104

Chapter 1104:

Eileen subtly retreated a couple of steps to stand next to Bryan, seeking his help with the matter.

“Are you someone just because you find out what you want to know?” Bryan said, offering his unequivocal support. “Eileen adheres to her boundaries.”

“She holds strong principles in her friendships. She won’t just abandon them, especially not for someone with whom she shares no close ties.”

Julio furrowed his brows. “Then, does she have a good relationship with you? Why hasn’t she started a career with you? Are you managing the affairs of both the EB Group and the Apex Group by yourself?”

Eileen was momentarily speechless as Julio and Bryan began arguing with each other.

At that moment, Eileen felt the cool touch of Bryan’s palm. Bryan had seized her wrist and said coldly, “Withdraw the shares.” He was addressing her directly.

“Pull out your shares, and you’ll only secure minimal protection. Based on the current earnings of the Ferguson Group, your loss would be over a hundred million,” Julio said to Eileen. “Are you prepared to forfeit so much?”noveldrama

Eileen’s lips moved as she began, “She was no fool. The Ferguson Group had made it through the toughest times. Now, it’s earning money without being deeply involved in its management. Why would she want to pull out her shares?”

However, before Eileen could finish, Bryan unexpectedly placed his hand on her waist and softly pinched her.

Eileen abruptly stopped because of the itch and turned to look at Bryan.

After exchanging glances for a few seconds, she whispered, “If I stop earning money without additional effort, he will feel triumphant.”

Bryan said to Julio, “That makes sense. So, we won’t withdraw the shares, and we won’t let you in on searching for Dalores, either. If it irritates you, you can remove Eileen from the board of directors.” He had devised a solid strategy. If Julio did that, he would stand to suffer great loss.

Suddenly, Julio’s expression darkened. He was unable to gather any information about Dalores.

“We’re leaving now,” Eileen declared, eager to make a swift exit.

Noticing Julio’s attempt to stop her, she quickly added, “I’ve been embroiled in troubles lately, and it’s about to become a major scandal. Weren’t you aware of that? Since you haven’t called to check on me, it’s clear our relationship is purely business.”

In other words, why was she obligated to tell him anything about Dalores?

Julio felt like swearing. “How many messages did I send you asking what was going on? You responded.” Eileen was stunned by his words.

“Let’s go.” Bryan led Eileen to the elevator. As the elevator doors slowly closed, both Eileen and Julio were still in a daze. When Eileen and Bryan stepped out of the elevator, Eileen sent a message to Dolores inquiring about her whereabouts. Dolores responded with a photo of herself holding a sleeping Emerson at the fire escape, indicating she had overheard Eileen’s conversation with Julio.

She felt she had dragged Eileen into her personal conflict with Julio. She told Eileen to leave first, and that she would handle the matter with Julio on her own.

As Eileen tucked her phone away, she noticed Marisa nearby, not wearing her police uniform. Marisa stood out in the crowd, probably because of her profession. She emerged from the elevator holding a file bag that contained a recorder pen.
