Chapter 1113
Chapter 1113:
“No need,” Julio emerged from the ward with a stern expression. “She doesn’t need your visit.”
Marisa stood straight and said, “It’s my fault. She was upset due to my negligence at work, but she is not in a stable mental state. If the hotel owner hadn’t called the police and we hadn’t found her in time, she and her child might have been in danger. I will apologize to you. Can you, then, ask your superior to be lenient regarding my dismissal?” She had indeed made a mistake, but it wasn’t grounds for dismissal.noveldrama
Suddenly, Eileen realized this was Bryan’s doing.
“I don’t appreciate people who try to negotiate with me. What your superior decides is his decision. It’s pointless to discuss this with me,” Julio glanced at Eileen and quickly grasped the situation. He chose not to meddle in matters that Eileen and Bryan were handling, even though they had involved him this time.
Marisa appeared slightly embarrassed. “We’re all adults here. Let’s be straight. I don’t believe I should be dismissed over such a minor error. You—”
Julio interjected. “I have nothing more to discuss with you. Go speak to your superior.” Then, he went to Emerson’s ward.
In the corridor, only Eileen and Marisa remained.
Eileen had been discreetly watching Marisa’s actions. Taking a deep breath, Marisa handed the flowers to Eileen. “It’s for the family. Please give these to them on my behalf. Also, if you can, please try to convince him to give me a chance to explain myself.”
“I’ll deliver the flowers for you,” Eileen responded, accepting the flowers without further comment.

“Regarding the issue of Kamila conspiring with her old flame to abduct you when you were a child, you really should urge the police to open an investigation into this matter soon and resolve it quickly. This is my biggest concern. If it’s settled swiftly, the outcome of my job won’t matter as much to me.” Marisa appeared somewhat disheartened, yet she maintained a determined demeanor.
After Dottie’s death, the police had ceased their investigation into Eileen’s disappearance.
However, the case had remained unsolved for years due to Marisa’s persistence. Now, with evidence in hand and a desire to see justice served, Marisa needed Eileen to formally present the case to the police as the victim.
“Mrs. Sandoval, could you provide me with the documents about the evidence and the details of my disappearance?” Eileen asked.
Marisa hesitated briefly before responding, “Okay, but I’ll give you a copy of them. Don’t worry about my job security. I’m the best person to ensure the evidence remains intact. I’m concerned you might lose it if I hand over the original. After all, I’ve been working on this evidence for many years.”
Eileen nodded. “A copy will suffice. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. And, regarding Keith, your mother was quite concerned about him when she was alive. You should consider visiting him. Regardless of the rumors, the most important thing is for you to take action without worrying about what others think.”
After encouraging Eileen to visit Keith, Marisa said goodbye to Eileen and left.
