Eternal Villa had been their previous residence, and they hadn’t been there since moving back to the Baker family’s home. That was precisely where Bailee was now.

Bailee answered almost instantly, already guessing the reason. “Did Huey call you?”

Bailee paused for a few seconds before answering. “I didn’t want you to stress about me anymore. My plan was to tell you about it once everything is sorted.”

Standing in the dimly lit hallway, Eileen asked, “Once everything is sorted? How exactly do you plan on handling all of this?” After what felt like an eternity of silence, Bailee finally said, “I want a divorce. I want to deal with this on my own.”
