The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage)

Book 3 Chapter 10.

Harmony POV.

I drive to my house and a sense of betrayal washes over me, which is just ridiculous. We weren't a couple, and he didn't betray me. He is single and can do whatever or whoever he chooses. It hurts, but I will get over it. This is why I don't get my hopes up when it comes to men.

I drive into my driveway and shut the engine off. I climb out and lock my cage, and walk to the front door. I walk inside and shut and lock the door behind me. My phone has been vibrating up a storm, and I have ignored it all.noveldrama

I pull my phone out of my purse and see the missed calls and messages from Mav. I delete them all and then block him.

I don't need this drama when I have so much going on. This is for the best. I just don't have the time, anyway. I walk to the fridge and pull out a bottle of wine. I never drink, but this sure does call for it. One glass won't hurt.

I uncork the bottle and pour a glass. Removing my heels, I walk to the patio in the back and sit down.

How could he welcome her with open arms after what she did to his daughter? How could he be so forgiving? No wonder Melody looked upset when I got there. That poor girl must be terrified of what her egg donor will do to her. I should go back and demand Melody come with me for her own safety.

But no, it is not my place. I am not her mother, I'm not anything to her and that hurts more. But I will be her friend and Mav or Felicia can't stop that.

Oh god, does that mean the skank will be around the club more now? Why didn't momma tell me she was going to be under the surveillance of Mav? Whatever. I sip my wine and screw my nose up at it. Yeah don't like that but I won't waste it.

I hear my doorbell ringing off the hook and the banging starts against the front door.

"Harmony, please open the door. Let me explain." There is nothing to explain. Felicia, sorry Felicity, is where she needs to be. With her child and her man. God above, I was so silly to think I could have a life with him and his child. I was wrong, I won't stand in the way of them.

I have no business getting involved. So I won't be. The ringing and banging continue, but I just ignore it all. That is until there is a crash from the side of my house and I stand up as Mav stumbles over my bins and into view.

"What the hell Outlaw." He looks at me, and he winces at the use of his road name.

"It's not what you think." I just sigh and sit back down with my wine.

"It doesn't matter what I think. We weren't together and you need to get back to your daughter. Or is she completely safe with your ole lady?" I ask, and he sighs before he shakes his head.

"I never wanted this to happen." He starts, but I stay nonchalant.

"Too bad it has. No, please leave my property and head back home. Your daughter and ole lady need you more than I do. Now go." I say and he looks at me as I stand up before I turn and walk back inside. When he grabs me, I turn around, my glass dropping from my hand and his lips are on mine. I'm stunned. Then I shove him away.

"Leave Maverick. This will never happen again. Go back to Melody. She needs you. I can't believe you are that stupid to leave her with the woman who wanted to sell her. Get out of here now!" I shout, and he backs away.

"This isn't over Harmony." He says and I just shake my head.

"It never even started. Leave. Stay away from me." I say as I turn and walk back inside and lock the door. I listen for a few moments and hear the bike start and he leaves. I sigh and grab the dustpan and brush and head out back to clean up the broken glass.

Once done, I decide to make some food and just chill out for the night. Once I have eaten my pasta, I head to bed and settle down for sleep. Today has been both productive and disappointing.

I fall asleep and wake to the sound of glass breaking downstairs. I look for my phone and realise I left it downstairs with my gun. Oh, this is just great. I stand from my bed and walk to the window and look down and see no movement. Ok think Harmony.

I turn and walk to the door of my bedroom, then grab the baseball bat that I always keep handy, just in case. Ok, this will have to do. I raise the bat and quietly walk along the hallway to the stairs. I walk down and stop at the bottom of the stairs. I don't like this.

"Gotcha!" A man lunges at me and I swing the bat hard. It connects with his face and he screams and I make a run for it to the front door. My hair is grabbed from behind and I scream out. I turn in the hold and kick out my foot, connecting with the stomach of another man.

I grab the keys and unlock the door and run towards the cage. I press the button to unlock it and rip the door open when a cloth is placed over my mouth and nose. I scream and wiggle to break the hold, but my strength is leaving me. I go limp and slip out of the hold, breathing in big breaths and stagger to my feet. My bat is on the floor, but I see my gun in the door. I lunge for the gun and fingers graze it as I'm pulled back by my top and it rips. I grab the gun and fall backwards. I raise the gun and fire.

The tracker on my wrist. I press it, and it will send an emergency signal to the club.

I don't have the time to wait for them to arrive. Black dots dance in my vision. As I fire the gun again when everything starts going black.

"Stupid little bitch." I fight to keep my eyes open when a fist collides with my face and I'm out cold.

I wake to water being thrown at me and I gasp and cough as I lift my head and look at the son of a bitch in front of me.

"Welcome princess to the Son's Of Hades." Oh fuck my life. I sit there shivering from the cold, not fear and laugh.

"Is this how you treat a princess? Well, boys, you are definitely lacking in that respect. How about you loosen these restraints and we can talk about what it is you want?" I say as my teeth chatter. The president squats in front of me.

"I think not. You see, your club has turned their backs on us. We needed their help and so you see, you, my dear Harmony, are who we wanted all along. Those kids we took were the bait, but you are the prize. Get her ready boys, we are leaving." I feel a sting in my arm and look back at the president when I spit in his face as the drug takes effect.

"You won't be needing this either." He says and takes the bracelet from my arm. No!

"You...

will... all ...

die." I black out once more.
