Chapter 183
"Exactly!" Christina added in agreement. "That girl has no sense of decorum. The kinder you are to her, the more she takes advantage. Once she marries your son, it's your duty to discipline her properly. Even though she's my daughter, I won't blindly take her side." Christina's thoughts aligned with Brittany's. She didn't want Paisley to have an easy life either. The only reason she agreed to Gregory arranging this marriage with the Jackman family was because she knew what kind of people they were. This left the Jackmans confused. Before Dominick arrived, the Sullivans had seemned desperate for them to marry Paisley, making it seem like they valued her greatly. But now, it appeared otherwise.
They glanced at Gregory, who sat silently with a grim face, saying nothing. That's when they realized the truth. Paisley was just a pawn for Gregory to gain favor with the Jackman family. He had no real affection for her. And Christina's disdainful attitude made it seem as though Paisley had been adopted rather than born to the
family.
This suited the Jackmans just fine. They wouldn't need to treat that uneducated woman too kindly or worry about her running back to the Sullivans to complain.
At that moment, a commotion from the adjacent private room grew louder, so much so t

Meanwhile, Brittany was secretly thrilled. The louder the commotion next door, the more miserable Paisley must be. If this was how Baron treated Paisley before they were even married, her future would be hell As everyone mulled over their own thoughts, a blood-
curdling scream from Baron echoed through the private room
Marianne was the first to react, jumping to her feet. "What's going on? That scream doesn't sound right!"
Keith stood up as well, ready to check on the situation.
Gregory began to worry. Could Paisley have resisted and done something
drastic? If she ruined today's plans, he wouldn't forgive her.
Before the Jackmans could reach the next room, the door to the main private room burst open. Haron
stumbled in, bloodied and disheveled, his face pale with terror. He staggered
forward, yelling as he went. "Dad! Mom! That woman is trying to kill me!"
What? The Jackmans were shocked, rushing to shield Baron behind them.
"Quick! He ran in there! Don't let him get away!" came the furious voice of an unfamiliar woman.
Both the Sullivan and Jackman families looked at each other in confusion, none recognizing the voice. Except for Gary, who thought it sounded cerily familiar. Then another woman's voice rang out. "And while you're at it, fli
flip that table!"
Gregory's eyes widened in recognition. He knew that voice all too well-Paisley.
Christina and Brittany also realized it was Paisley, Christina's face darkened with rage, while Brittany trembled with a
anger.
Before anyone could react further, a group of well-trained enforcers burst into the room.
They split into two groups-
one heading straight for Baron. The other group headed straight for the main table. In full view of the stunned Sullivan family, they flipped the table over. Dishes and drinks were scattered everywhere, with some of them landing directly on the Sullivan family members.
Gregory's

Christina couldn't dodge in time. A large lobster fell squarely on her head. Frightened out of her wits, she clung to Brittany, screaming in shock. The lobster's claws had tangled themselves firmly in her carefully styled hair, making it impossible to shake aff. 1/2 Chapter 183

"TI kill you!" she screamed, charging toward Paisley. But before she got far, one of the bodyguards shoved her back without hesitation. The shove sent Brittany staggering before she fell hard to the ground.
"Ah! Brittany!" Christina cried out, momentarily forgetting about the lobster still attached to her head as she rushed to help her daughter up. Turning to Paisley, she glared furiously. "Paisley, you wretched girl! Have you gone mad?" "Mad? You're the ones who are mad, bringing such filth to disgust me, Paisley said coldly, her eyes fixed on Gregory and Christina-

The rest of the Sullivan and Jackman families immediately understood that the "filth Paisley referred to was Baron.

Only now did they realize the commotion they had heard earlier wasn't Baron tormenting Paisley but Baron being beaten. The Jackmans were devastated to see their son battered so severely.
They had indeed wanted to forge a marital alliance with the Vanderbilt family, but their son's well-
being mattered more. Paisley hadn't even married into their family yet and she was already treating Baron like this. What would happen if she did marry him?
Baron had always been the one to dominate others, yet now he had been humiliated. This was an affront to the Jackman family.
Gregory's face turned crimson, his whole body shaking with anger. What was supposed to be a perfect banquet was now in ruins. He could never have imagined that Paisley would dare crash the event and cause such
