Dean's face was a mix of shock and tears when he saw Archibald, making the moment even more intense.

Dean stood his ground, his eyes full of defiance. "It's none of your business!"

Archibald found it laughable. "You're throwing your future away!"

Dean was genuinely confused. "What future do I even have?"

The argument between Archibald and Dean escalated in front of their parents' graves.

Sophia, seeing this, knew that continuing the argument was pointless. Given his current disdain for her, if they didn't leave soon, Archibald might drag both Dean and her to the Emerald City police station!

She quickly adjusted her expression, feigning vulnerability. "Do you really have to argue in front of your parents? Can't we discuss this elsewhere?"

Archibald shot Sophia a cold look, aware of her tactics, but unwilling to continue the dispute at his parents' graves.

He walked to the gravestone, took a deep breath, and began speaking to his parents. Seizing the moment, Sophia whispered to Dean, "Dean, let's go."

Dean was reluctant to leave.

He was furious, and more importantly, why should he be the one to back down in front of Archibald?

Sophia knew Dean was acting on impulse and wouldn't listen to reason.

But they needed to escape!

Being taken to the Emerald City police station would be disastrous!

With this in mind, Sophia decided to act first and flee.

After all, Dean was Archibald's brother; the chances of him being sent to the police were slim.

But Archibald saw her as an enemy!

Staying any longer would be walking into a trap!

"Do you think you can escape?"

Sophia froze, turning back to see Archibald's icy glare as he approached with determined steps.

"Really, Dean? Are you going to defy me now? You're actually protecting her!"

Archibald was genuinely surprised that Sophia had such a hold on Dean. Dean had always been aimless, and his past girlfriends were just fleeting. Archibald thought Sophia was the same, but clearly, it was more complicated.

"Why shouldn't I protect her? She cares about me! Unlike you, who conspires with others to harm me!"

Dean knew that Archibald was searching for him to use him to gain Emily's favor and to push him out of the way, so he could inherit the Lancaster family without any obstacles.

"When have I ever harmed you?" Archibald realized Dean was hopelessly stubborn. "This woman encouraged you to frame Michael, and now that it's blown up,

you're wanted by the Emerald City police!

"Dean, do you have any sense? Can't you see through her scheme?"

Sophia's heart skipped a beat.

If Archibald continued, he might drive a wedge between her and Dean.

As Archibald suspected, Sophia was smart. She knew Archibald's character well.

Though she had feelings for Dean, she knew he was simple-minded and easy to manipulate, but not a man who could take responsibility.

Taking a deep breath, Sophia quickly adjusted her emotions, trying to interrupt Archibald's accusations with a tearful expression.

"Archibald, I respect you because of Dean, but you can't just insult me without reason!"
