Chapter 1605
Robert and his friends had just rolled up to the impressive entrance of Riverside University. This place, with its century-old prestige, wasn't just famous for nothing. Even the initials of those French names carved into the entrance screamed grandeur, demanding respect right from the get-go.
Mirabella clicked her tongue, not out of awe, but more out of curiosity-were those French letters actually plated with real gold? They sparkled like they were.
Blaze glanced back to see Mirabella standing there, arms folded, giving the Riverside University sign a cheeky grin.
"Mira, what's up?" Blaze awkwardly scratched his face, trying to figure out what was going on in her head.
"Hmm?" Mirabella didn't quite get what he was on about.
Blaze chuckled, a bit embarrassed, "Oh, nothing."
"What are you two whispering about? Come on, let's get inside," Robert called out, waving them over as he reached the entrance.
Blaze quickly nudged Mirabella to get a move on and join the group.
There was a warm welcome waiting for them at the entrance, and before long, they were shown inside.
Riverside University was a whole different world compared to Prestige College. Everything, from the surroundings to the academic zones, was neatly organized and well-defined.
With over a hundred labs and cameras everywhere, not every spot was open for a casual tour. Mirabella, however, still had a soft spot for her own school, finding Riverside a bit too stifling for her taste.
"Mira, feeling tired?" After almost an hour of wandering around, Blaze was still bouncing with energy.
Mirabella shot him a glance, not wanting to burst his bubble, "I'm good."
"If you're feeling worn out, maybe we could ask a professor for a spot to take a breather," Blaze suggested, noticing Mira's lack of enthusiasm since they arrived.noveldrama
"No worries." Mirabella scanned the signs ahead and then changed her mind, "Actually, I need to hit the restroom."
"Cool." Blaze nodded, knowing they weren't at Prestige College, he added, "You sure you'll be okay going alone, Mira?"
Mirabella raised an eyebrow, and with a playful seriousness, said, "I'm more worried about you following me into the ladies' room and getting booted out."
"Pfft," Blaze's lips twitched, "Didn't peg you for being this cheeky."
Yara, who was walking ahead, overheard and couldn't help but giggle. She turned back with a smile, "I was thinking of heading to the restroom too. Let's go together, Mira."
Mirabella gave her a laid-back nod, "Sounds good."
The two of them made their way to the restroom.
Yara was in and out quickly; she wasn't there because she needed to be, but to keep Mirabella company.
For some reason, she felt drawn to this girl, despite her mom's strange warnings about staying away from Mirabella, which Yara had brushed off.
She knew exactly what kind of person her mother was.
After about five or six minutes, Mirabella came out, tossing her paper towel into the trash before heading over to Yara, "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"No problem at all." Yara smiled warmly, not a hint of impatience on her face.
As Mirabella met Yara's bright eyes, she couldn't help but think about it. Despite the Cunningham family's infamous reputation, it was surprising they had a daughter who turned out so well.
"By the way, where are you originally from?" Yara asked with genuine curiosity as they walked side by side.
What do you think?
