The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 586

Levi didn't have a strong bond with Mitch. He was raised by his grandma because Mitch had to work in another city.

But at this point, he was much closer to Mitch. He only became the deputy mayor thanks to Mitch's connections.

If Mitch wasn't around, he could easily get booted from his position tomorrow. So, he urgently needed to get Mitch's health sorted out.

Matthew glanced at the rearview mirror. He was taken aback to see Levi's worried expression. "Didn't you already know what medicine to take? Why are you asking me?"

Levi looked completely lost. He scrunched up his face as he mulled over it, getting even more perplexed. "How would I know what medicine to take? Did you get it wrong?"

Matthew shook his head as he was puzzled about why Levi said that. After driving for a bit, he asked, "Earlier, when you reached out to Kenneth, didn't you mention the formula of Liverlight Pill? Aren't you aware that it treats high blood pressure?" Levi hummed in realization as it dawned on him why Matthew brought that up. A hint of regret crossed his face. "When Dad was diagnosed with high blood pressure, I learned that Liverlight Pill could treat it.

"I went out of my way to get a ton of it for Dad, but it didn't work at all. If it actually helped, I wouldn't be asking you for help with the treatment."noveldrama

How could it be ineffective? Matthew furrowed his brows and was lost in thought. After a moment, he suddenly came to a realization.

"Does Mr. Lancaster like to eat spicy food?"

Levi was surprised. "How do you know that?"

Matthew continued to ask, "Does Mr. Lancaster also enjoy smoking and drinking?"

Levi nodded. "Yes. He smokes three packs of cigarettes a day and has a few bottles of beer with each meal."

Matthew went on with his questions. "I suppose Mr. Lancaster also enjoys food with high calories and likes to stay up late."

Levi sighed. "Dad often plays chess online until 2:00 a.m. He's a fan of cheese fries, burgers, and fried chicken. To put it simply, he enjoys fast food and snacks more than the youngsters."

Matthew shook his head and added, "I believe Mr. Lancaster has a short temper as well."

Levi was blown away. Every single thing Matthew mentioned was spot on as if he could see the future.

If Levi didn't know that Matthew couldn't care less about his background, he'd have suspected that Matthew had snooped into his family's details.

"You're right about everything."

Matthew nonchalantly remarked, "That's the problem. Liverlight Pill has dietary restrictions, but Mr. Lancaster didn't follow them. The healing effect of Liverlight Pill is nullified. How is he going to get better?"

Levi's eyes lit up. "Are you saying that if Dad gets rid of those habits, Liverlight Pill will show results?"

Matthew snickered. "Liverlight Pill can save Mr. Lancaster's life, but you get someone to take away the formula to get rid of it. What a grateful son you are. Mr. Lancaster can forget about living longer."

Levi could tell Matthew was

mocking him and felt pretty embarrassed. He also realized that

the remedy he had been desperately searching for almost vanished because of him. He couldn't help but beat himself up about it.

Matthew added, "You probably have high blood pressure as well. It often runs in families. I can tell your eyes and hands are puffy, and you frown a lot. ·Your neck looks stiff, and you seem restless. Those are the early signs of high blood pressure."

How could that be? Levi was startled. "Do I also have high blood pressure?"

His face turned pale with fear because he knew how serious high blood pressure could be. Mitch could barely walk with one of his legs not responding. If he had a stroke again, he'd likely end up paralyzed in bed.
