The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus)

Chapter 551 I Want You to Live a Fate Worse Than Death

Sky let out a breath of relief when he heard Natalie's response.noveldrama

"Alright, then. Thank you, Natalie," he said with a smile.

"You don't have to be so polite, Sky," Natalie replied.

She stood up and added, "Dad, Mom, Lincoln, and everyone else are all waiting for you to come home."

Natalie motioned toward the door. "Come on, Sky. Let's go."

"Alright." Sky agreed, standing up and following her out of the dining room.

Having spent time living at Holden Residence before, Natalie was far more familiar with the Holden family than Sky was. She moved about naturally as if she were in her own home.

Sky hesitated before finally saying, "Natalie, I know you and Marcus are officially together now, and he needs you by his side. However, you two aren't engaged yet, and if possible, I still think it'd be better if you came home every night."

Natalie thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Alright, I understand," she said softly.

"I'll have Marcus come stay at the Walker residence with me," she added.

Sky was briefly stunned but nodded still. "That works too. Grandpa Charles would feel more at ease that way," he said thoughtfully.

If Marcus stayed at Holden Residence, he would only be plagued by painful memories, making it harder for him to move on. A change of environment might help him.

By the time they returned to the living room, Marcus had already gathered himself. His expression was blank, giving him an almost robotic demeanor.

Seeing them return, he got up and walked over to Natalie. "Are you going to see Sky off?" he asked.

Natalie nodded. "Yes, my parents and I are taking him back to prison," she explained.

"Alright, I'll go with you," Marcus said calmly.

"Okay," Natalie replied, reaching out to take his arm. "After we drop Sky off, let's stop by the hospital!"

"Alright," Marcus agreed with a slight nod.

"Sky, let's go," Charlotte called out.

Except for Hector and Mason, who stayed behind at Holden Residence, the rest of the Walker family left together.

Lincoln had his hands full managing Walker Group while also juggling his acting career, leaving him no time to comfort Marcus.

Meanwhile, Timothy's team had been busy training for heavyweight competitions, and they couldn't do without him. With all the traveling for matches, he simply couldn't stay behind.

Hector had been busy as well, but to stay by Natalie's side, he arranged for several people to share his workload, allowing him to take an extended leave.

As for Mason, he was still a student. Before the semester started, he had plenty of free time. Even after school resumed, he could take days off if necessary, so staying at Holden Residence was a reasonable arrangement.

However, if Marcus moved to the Walker family's home, Hector and Mason could also return there and focus on their own responsibilities.

After dropping Sky off at the prison, Marcus and Natalie left to see Yvette at the hospital, while William and Charlotte chose not to go.

The Walker family never let go of their grudges.

Back then, Yvette had coerced Grace into switching their daughter, and Charlotte would never forgive her for that.

Now that Kenton had returned, his hatred for Yvette was just as deep-if not deeper than anyone else's. With her now terminally ill, his relentless pursuit of revenge made it unnecessary for the Walker family to take action themselves.

...

Marcus and Natalie arrived at the hospital, stepping into Yvette's room to find Kenton standing by the bedside, coldly looking down at the frail Yvette. "Kenton," Marcus called out.

Kenton immediately turned around. "Mr. Holden."

"Get out," Marcus ordered.

"Yes, Mr. Holden." Kenton responded obediently, stepping out of the room and even closing the door behind him.

Marcus and Natalie approached the bed, and Ethan quickly brought over chairs for them to sit.

"Mr. Holden, Ms. Walker," Ethan

greeted respectfully. "Madam Jenkins' body has been completely overtaken by Umbrahex. After arriving at the hospital, she suffered an episode due to emotionab distress. Combined with her terminal illness, the pain she's experiencing is a hundred times worse than what Mrs. Holden endured."

"How's Charlene?" Natalie asked calmly.

"She was rescued by our people and is unharmed," Ethan replied. "I handed her

over to Kenton. He plans to use her to exchange for Megan."

Then, he added, "Ms. Walker, Kenton came to us first with this proposal, and Mr. Holden agreed."

Natalie nodded. "Alright, handle it as you see fit."

Marcus glanced at Ethan. "You can leave now."

"Yes, Mr. Holden," Ethan replied, turning to leave.

Marcus then picked up the cup of water on the bedside table. It was still warm. He tilted it slightly and let the water trickle down onto Yvette's forehead.

Yvette jolted as if electrocuted, and her once vacant eyes finally regained focus. After setting the cup down, Marcus walked to the end of the bed and adjusted the hospital bed to raise her up.

Then, he picked up the remote and turned on the television.

What appeared on the screen wasn't a regular broadcast. It was footage of the Jenkins family graves being dug up by a pack of wild dogs under Kenton's command. Scene after scene played out in gruesome detail.

"Madam Jenkins," Marcus began. "I had Kenton prepare this for you. Have you seen enough?"

Yvette's face was soaked with sweat, and the moment she saw the footage playing on the screen, she spiraled into a panic attack.

She clutched her face, screaming hysterically, "I don't want to see it!"

Marcus remained expressionless and simply turned up the volume.

If she refused to watch, she could at least listen to the howls of the wild dogs and

Kenton's triumphant laughter as he exacted his revenge.

Once seen, these images would replay endlessly in her mind.

Yvette wanted nothing more than to die, but Marcus wouldn't let her. Right now,

he wanted her to live a fate worse than death.

"Yvette, the Jenkins family was

burned to the ground by Vivian, and because of you, their graves were dug up and desecrated by wild dogs," he said. "Your family was destroyed by the two of you. Do you think Mr. Jenkins Senior would rest easy, knowing his ashes were unearthed and pissed on?"

He let out a cold chuckle and said, "Vivian ruined the living members of the Jenkins family, and you

destroyed the dead. Vivian is already gone. Tell me, Yvette. How do you still have the audacity to keep

living?"

Marcus' words cut through the air like invisible daggers, stabbing deep into Yvette's heart.

Yvette screamed relentlessly. Marcus stepped forward and roughly pulled her hands away from her eyes.

"Look at it," he demanded coldly. "Look closely. When did my grandfather ever wrong Vivian? How did he wrong the Jenkins family? Why did you make him suffer? Why did you drive him to his death?"

Marcus gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on Yvette's hair, forcing her to face the screen.

"As long as you're alive, I will make you watch the footage of the Jenkins family

fire and the video of their graves being dug up by wild dogs. I want you to live a fate worse than death," he added.
