My Nephew Leonard 440
Although Noelle hadn't agreed to it the night before, Hendrix had still gone ahead and booked a hot spring hotel.
To ensure they had plenty of time the next day, he had even made a point of going back home early that day. He had planned to take Noelle to the hot spring tonight, but when he arrived at Nivis Villa, he found it was completely dark.
A while ago, Noelle had mentioned she didn't like having other people around the house, so Hendrix had arranged for the household staff to come only at fixed times for cleaning.
As a result, Noelle was the only person in the villa most of the time. Now that she wasn't there, the entire place was dark and eerily quiet.
A frown immediately appeared on Hendrix's face. Where could she be at this hour?
He quickly gave her a call, but her phone was off. The cold, automated voice on the other end made his expression darken further.
Immediately after, he called the housekeeper. "Did Noelle mention where she was going today?"
"No, Mrs. Freeman wasn't there when we arrived this morning. But she's been attending a ceramics class lately. Maybe she's still there?"
Ceramic class?
Hendrix narrowed his eyes, then turned on his heel. "What's the name and address of the studio?"
When Hendrix arrived, the lights at the ceramics studio were still on. But after searching the place, he didn't see Noelle.
His expression immediately turned grim.
Someone approached, their eyes lingering on Hendrix for a moment before asking softly, "Hello, can I help you?"
"Where's Noelle? Is she here?"
"Do you mean Ms. Swanson?" The person paused, then said, "She had a class scheduled today, but she called to say she couldn't make it since something came up at the last minute. Are you her husband?" Hendrix didn't answer. As soon as he heard Noelle wasn't there, he turned and left.
But once outside, he suddenly had no idea where to go next, nor did he know where Noelle might be. Soon, it was nearly midnight.
Hendrix stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor, staring out into the darkness, his expression growing colder and more severe with each passing second.
It had been almost two hours since he realized Noelle was missing, though he had no idea when exactly she had left.
Lately, things had been going so well between them. The future he had been hoping for seemed to be taking shape, and that was why he had stopped having her watched.
He thought they had already made up, but now, it seemed that wasn't the case.
She had done this before. Just when he thought he was about to find happiness, she delivered a crushing blow.
A sharp pain suddenly shot through Hendrix's stomach, spreading to his chest. It was the same spot
where he had been injured during the wedding. He thought it had long since healed.
Suddenly, a crisp ringtone sounded.
Hendrix snapped out of his thoughts and answered his phone.
"We found her, Mr. Freeman," the voice

"We found her, Mr. Freeman," the voice on the other end said. "Mrs. Freeman didn't actually go missing. She's with Ms. Swift right now."
The moment he heard this, Hendrix let out a sigh of relief. Where are they?"
After getting the answer, Hendrix immediately headed out.
Noelle was indeed with Seline. The two of them were watching a movie at Seline's apartment. It was a cheesy romance film, and Seline was crying her eyes out while Noelle remained completely unmoved. Seline wiped away her tears and turned to Noelle.
Noticing the indifference on Noelle's face, Seline couldn't help but ask, "How can you be so cold-hearted? Don't tell me this doesn't move you at all."
