When Love Breaks (Josephine)

Josephine was rendered speechless. She performed a mental calculation and realized that the asset notarization process would be completed in a day or two.

Once that was done, she could officially file for divorce from Zayn.

The thought of it calmed her down.

"If you're here to stand up for Nadine, let me make it clear, she's the one who provoked me first. Last night, she hired the paparazzi to secretly take photos of me-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Zayn cut her off. "To spy on you and Ethan."

"You knew?" Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Did you two come up with this scheme together?"

Zayn let out a cold chuckle. "I don't have that much free time. I know what kind of person you are. If Nadine hadn't provoked you, you wouldn't do such a thing. So, I asked her directly."

Josephine didn't understand. "If you knew, why did you come and question me? Do you think I shouldn't have taught her a lesson? Or are you feeling sorry for her?"

"Feel sorry for her? No way!"

Zayn took a few steps toward her, forcing her back to hit the wall. He then took the opportunity and pinned her against the wall.

"There are many ways for you to teach her a lesson. Why must you drag me and the Forbes family into trouble? Do you have any idea how stupid that was? You might have hurt me, but you surely wounded yourself!"

His nose was almost touching hers, so she could feel his breath on her face.

Josephine turned to look away. She put her hands on his shoulders, trying to push him off. However, when she noticed his hand that was in a cast, she eased her strength.

"I know that Forbes Group was greatly impacted, but it's none of my business. I didn't lose anything."

Zayn scoffed. "You didn't lose anything? How naive. Do you think the shareholders of Forbes Group will just sit back and watch? Do you think Dad won't do anything?

"They had nothing to do with Nadine before this, but now, they are forced to take her side to go against you. Do you still think you didn't lose anything?"

He pulled out his phone and placed it in front of her, showing over a hundred missed calls.

"Dad wants me back in Crestwood immediately. Do you know what trouble I'll be walking into the moment I get there?"

Even if she didn't know, she could imagine it.

But what did this have to do with her?

Josephine glared at him. "You brought this on yourself. If you hadn't cheated on me, none of this would've happened."

Seeing his face come closer as if he was going to kiss her, Josephine's cheeks flushed.

She quickly used all her strength to push him away.

Unexpectedly, Zayn cried out in pain as he fell to the ground. His face turned deathly pale as he clutched his injured arm. He just lay there motionless.

She could tell that he wasn't faking that expression.

Josephine panicked and rushed over. She bent down to check on him. "Are you alright? I didn't even push that hard—"noveldrama

Cold sweat appeared on Zayn's forehead. "Josephine, are you trying to murder your husband?"

"I told you, I didn't push you that hard. Get up, I'll take you to the hospital."

She hurriedly pulled out her phone to call George, but Zayn stopped her "That's enough. Don't make a scène out of this. I just hit the part with the fracture.

"It really hurts. Just help me inside so I can rest. I'll be fine."

After struggling to help him into the living room, she managed to guide him onto

the sofa.

Gloria stood in the living room anxiously.

In reality, she had overheard their conversation.

She didn't do it on purpose. She intended to protect Josephine, in case that

angry-looking man would hurt her.

But she never expected to learn about such shocking news.

It turned out that Josephine was married, and that her husband was quite handsome.

Even so, Gloria couldn't help but feel that Josephine and Ethan made a better

pair.
