Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1768

"Oh."

With that short reply, Waverly went to the bathroom. Wyatt said nothing. When Waverly came out, she saw that the coffee table had been cleaned up. Subconsciously, she glanced at the small clock beside her.

It was ten past five.

Early he had mentioned that he had a morning meeting. Why was he cleaning now?

"This isn't right. Something is up!" she thought to herself.

"It's still early, you should go back to sleep!"

The gentle voice of urging sounded beside her ears. She lifted her feet again. Every time she did, she was in a state of confusion. When she lay down on the bed, she tossed and turned. All the drowsiness had left her body now.

After a while, out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at Wyatt. He had barely laid down when he picked up his cell phone again and appeared to be reading something. Both of them did their own thing until dawn. Neither of them said much.

When he got up, Waverly was sure that he had something to do.

Since her luggage was still unpacked, after they washed up, she said, "Don't you have a meeting to get to? You go ahead! There's no need to send me off. Don't forget to have breakfast."

"It's okay! It won't take long! I will help you get settled in before heading to the office."

Without giving her a chance to speak again, Wyatt had already moved her luggage directly into the car. On the way, although he could not hear clearly, Waverly saw that he had been on his phone nonstop.

Soon, they arrived at the door of the apartment. At this time, there was already a servant waiting there. At the same time, her favorite white car had been sent to her. When she left, her car was left in his house!

"I won't have breakfast with you! Ask them to help you clean up and tell the housekeeper if you need anything. Pick two servants to stay behind if need be!" said Wyatt as he glanced at his watch.

"Call me if you need help!"

"Okay."

Once again, Waverly could feel the urgency in Wyatt's words and actions. She was obviously stunned. With the servants' help, everything went smoothly. Soon, everything was moved upstairs. Everything was settled before noon.

With the feeling of having a home, Waverly suddenly felt very happy and expressed her gratitude. She didn't bother retaining the servants and instead went out to buy some ingredients at the supermarket. By the time she was done, it was already close to three o'clock in the afternoon.

Feeling completely drained, she lay down on the bed. Now that she had some time, she decided to scroll her phone.

"Sky Success Group crisis: The biggest memory chip expected to run out?" "Shocking news: Sky Success Group releasing new product replacement." "Estimated losses of 2 billion: Sky Success Group's new product 'R08' delayed launch."

"Rumors gone wild! Sky Success Group's new product launch will not be affected. Behind-the-scenes skills surface!"

The entire page was full of news about Sky Success Group. Waverly was so shocked that she sat up straight in bed. She was not feeling tired at all anymore.noveldrama

She was so stunned that her jaw was practically on the floor.

As she flipped through the different articles, the news reports were talking about Sky Success Group's immense sales. Every article seemed to have its own thing to say. At this point, Waverly had no idea what to believe.

"The largest memory chip supplier has announced that they want to stop working together with Sky Success Group?"

Without a memory chip, how would a phone be able to run? It didn't matter what chip it was, a phone could not do without it. Sky Success Group had advanced so well. They had already entered the markets of over thirty countries. They monopolized a huge ratio in the world. A single product of theirs was valued at over 2 billion!

Out of the blue, Waverly thought of the incident where Franklin copied Sky Success Group's older memory chip model. It had been a very scandalous piece of news. The number of internal employees it involved made Wright Group fall to

its knees. This news was a little more than half a month ago.

Did the dissolution of their collaboration with the largest supplier in the world have an impact?

"Which news is true?" she wondered.

"Does Sky Success Group's research development team actually have a backup chip in place?"

Whether they had one or not, looking at the volatility of Sky Success Group, it was clear that they were suffering from the effects.

From the looks of it, the release of the new product 'R08' in the third quarter was the key to this whole issue.

No wonder his face didn't look right. No wonder he didn't sleep at night. Even with such a big crisis at hand, he still cared enough to come to see her and worry about whether she was settling in all right.

Feeling inexplicably anxious, Waverly got up and turned on the computer. She read every piece of news about Sky Success Group from start to finish.

"Sky Success Group's PR team is amazing!" Were they really confident or were they just putting on a front?

about

No matter what the truth was, at least on the surface, they looked very confident. Any time there was negative information released about them, their response was reasonable and calm. Whether they had a backup plan or not, at least on the surface, it gave people some reassurance. It wasn't helpful with the actual product launch, but it helped to stabilize their stock prices.

This time, they were really facing some tough challenges.

Waverly took a deep breath unconsciously. "He must be worried sick right now."

A bad feeling welled up in her heart. And then, she felt inexplicably impetuous. She tried to calm down and take deep breaths but she could not suppress the complicated emotions in her heart.

"Will this be another episode like what happened with Grayson from Wright High Group?"

Her thoughts were a mess, and she felt depressed. Grabbing her bag, she decided to head out. Without going far, she wandered around in the shops near the neighborhood. Her mind was empty, and no one knew what she was thinking about.

As she walked, she inadvertently looked up. Suddenly, a low-key luxury black car came into his sight. At a glance, Waverly recognized it. "Isn't that Wyatt's car? Is he here?"

As expected, as soon as she looked down, she could see Wyatt's tall figure on the other side of the phone. At this time, Wyatt was not far from the car. From the position where he was standing and the angle, he was directly facing the building that she lived in.

She felt her heart lurch violently. Stopping in her tracks, Waverly took out her phone. There were no notifications.

"He's not looking for me. Is he here to try his luck again?"

Gazing into the distance, Waverly could not help but feel her fists clench.

While talking on the phone, Wyatt's eyes were fixed in a direction, but he didn't move forward. "I know. I'll be back soon!"

He soon hung up his phone. After a while, he reluctantly withdrew his eyes and turned back to the car. He was in a hurry, so Wyatt did not notice anything unusual behind him. She just stared at him dumbfoundedly without making a sound.

"Is he here to see me? He must be very busy at this time! Am I overthinking it? Maybe he's just passing by."

Watching the car drive away, Waverly was stunned for a while.

When she lifted her foot again, the calmness in her heart had been replaced with anxiety. She was downcast and could not help but feel upset. Near the door, she bought a hot dog. However, she stood dazed as she ate. As she bit into it, she felt the sudden urge to cry.

She twitched the corner of her mouth, and eventually laughed at herself out of pity. "What's wrong with me?"

When had she become so sentimental?

As she continued to walk, she could not help but comfort herself. "The storm will pass. Everything will be fine. Just go with the flow!"

She always believed that there must be a person in this world who was made for her and that would wait for her. Just like her, no matter how many times he fell, he would still believe in love. Whether he was the right guy, she knew that there was someone out there for her.

As she munched on her hot dog, her mood gradually lifted. She kept her head down and did not notice that on the other side of the road, the car had quickly turned around. When they passed by each other, Wyatt's face was full of smiles. As he rolled down his window, he was smiling from ear to ear.

He was able to see her again. It seemed like she did care about him after all.

Wyatt returned to the office and fell back into the grind of his work. However, now,

he seemed much more energized than before.

In the following days, Wyatt was as busy as ever. He did not look for Waverly, but whenever he had some time, especially during dinner time, he would habitually come to her apartment for a walk. He never told her in advance, not because he wanted to be fake or give her a surprise. Rather, he just didn't want to let her down. After all, his company was going through a critical time. He was carrying too many people's lives on his shoulders. At any time, he could be

called back to the office. The time

he could spare was too little and unpredictable, thus, this was the only thing he could do now.

He did not want to break his promise to her again, even if it was just a meal or

meeting!

On this day, knowing she was at home, he deliberately brought some fruit over. As

expected, before he reached her door, his phone rang again. He had no choice

but to stop outside.

Meanwhile, Waverly had been

paying close attention to Sky Success Group's developments. Waverly had seen his car and his figure more than once, but the two

had never crossed paths. Out of habit, she would come out for half

an hour at six forty-five o'clock every night. That night, she came down late. To her surprise, she saw him on

a call at the stairwell.

"Yes, I see!"

"Okay, then eight o'clock. I'll try to go back by then."

After hanging up the phone, Wyatt subconsciously looked at the time again. Then

he scrolled through his phone again. When he turned around, the person he had dreamed of day and night suddenly appeared in his sight. Suddenly, he was

shocked.

"Waverly?"

"Are you here to try your luck again?"

This week, she had seen him more than three times!

She knew that he was busy, but she couldn't understand why he never told her before coming. Initially, she thought that she was overthinking things. However, this time, he was downstairs of her apartment. There was no way this could be a

coincidence.

"My client sent a fruit basket to me. I thought I'd give you some if you were in."

"What if I'm not here? Were you going to take it back then?"

"Huh?"

Wyatt was momentarily stunned. He subconsciously nodded his head but then

paused. He looked at her with a little bit of fear and foolishness. It was obvious that he didn't know how to answer her question.
