Chapter 1771
Chapter 1771:
“It’s your own stupidity for not recognizing your true granddaughter. Why blame me? You old fool, how dare you hit me! I’ll make sure you regret this…”
Harlee watched the scene with a sharp gaze, her eyes intent on the unfolding drama. Errol was still of use. He couldn’t die at Nola’s hands.
Harlee pulled a silver needle from her pocket and swiftly inserted it into Moshe, who lay on the floor. Moshe stirred to consciousness shortly after.
Before Moshe could fully grasp the situation, he was jolted by Errol’s agonizing screams.
“Mr. Happer… Miss Happer, why are you assaulting Mr. Happer?”
Despite his confusion, Moshe acted quickly. He pulled Nola off, tossed her aside, and helped Errol to his feet with respect.
“Mr. Happer, are you alright?”
Errol coughed violently, his hand shaking as he pointed at Nola, his eyes filled with rage.
“Take her for experiments. I want her to suffer immensely!”
While Moshe was bewildered, he followed the order without question.
Nola, though somewhat settled, was not frightened. She believed she still held some cards.
“You can’t do this. The Happer family is still in my hands!” she stared defiantly at Errol.
Errol fixed Nola with a disdainful glare, his eyes sharp.
“Do you really think you can threaten me with the Rapper family? I am destined to rule this world!”
Harlee sat with her legs elegantly crossed, observing Errol’s and Nola’s venomous, calculating looks. After a brief silence, she rose, arched an eyebrow, and with a playful grin, asked slowly,

“Nola, how does it feel to have been Errol’s granddaughter all these years?”
This question was out of pure curiosity, not provocation, though some tended to misinterpret her intentions.
Moshe, with one hand aiming a gun at Harlee’s head and the other clutching Nola, said in a stern tone,
“Harlee, mind what you say!”
Moshe had been ordered to seize Nola, unaware that she was not a member of the Happer family—a revelation made before he had fully regained consciousness.
Harlee clapped her hands, a mischievous smirk pulling at one corner of her mouth. She then gave a quick, dramatic demonstration of how fast a change in expression could happen.
She darted toward Moshe with incredible speed, grabbed his collar, lifted him off his feet, and slammed him against the iron gate behind them. Harlee moved so quickly that Moshe couldn’t react in time. His grip on Nola remained firm.
Both Moshe and Nola crashed into the gate, landing in a crumpled pile. Nola coughed up blood, feeling as though her spine had cracked. Harlee’s strength was terrifying—almost supernatural.
Despite his desire to assist Nola, Moshe hesitated under Errol’s fierce gaze.noveldrama
