Chapter 1776
Chapter 1776:
“Honey, you seem to be losing your grip, aren’t you?”
Patrick, driving up front, kept silent. He wished he could just vanish.
Battling his rising desires, Rhys said coldly,
“Patrick, activate the privacy screen. Now.”
At his command, a solid metal barrier descended, effectively separating the front and rear of the vehicle.
As soon as the screen was in place, Rhys drew Harlee onto his lap, his voice sultry and low.
“Lee…”
Harlee straddled Rhys’ lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, a delightful smile lighting up her face.
“Rhys, everything in Ijwhor is wrapped up. From now on, let’s just enjoy a laid-back life with Felix.”
Rhys gently squeezed her waist, leaned in for a kiss, and swiftly deepened it. Moments later, resting his head against Harlee’s soft shoulder and catching his breath, Rhys murmured,
“Yeah, once we’re home, I’ll pass all of the Green Group’s projects to Brixton. Then it’ll just be us, finding joy in each other’s company.”
Harlee paused.
But what about Felix?
Elsewhere, Brixton had been managing the Green Group for a week when he realized Rhys had cleverly set him up. That week was so hectic that he wished he could duplicate himself to manage everything.noveldrama
Although Rhys had previously delegated the workload to Brixton, he had still been around to lead. Now that Brixton was on his own, the responsibility felt overwhelming.

Patrick warned Brixton,
“Mr. Green is off chasing his own bliss. If you think of bothering him, trust me, you won’t want to face the consequences.”
Brixton closed his eyes, overwhelmed with frustration. He felt defeated, knowing he was no match for Rhys.
“Everyone thinks my last name is Green,” he muttered with a sigh.
The full transfer of the Green Group’s leadership into his hands showed how much Rhys trusted him.
Brixton bowed his head. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t outsmart Rogelio back home, and now he couldn’t surpass Rhys either. Oh, the heartaches of always being outmaneuvered.
Patrick’s eyelashes fluttered, but he remained silent. Rhys had instructed him to monitor Brixton’s progress in handling the Green Group. Without significant growth, Brixton might be stuck in a dead-end role indefinitely.
In the National Biological Laboratory, Elva had been engrossed in her experiments lately. Mechuique had unleashed a new virus, pushing the laboratory’s researchers to scramble daily for an antidote. She had not taken a break in three straight months.
Concerned for her well-being, the lab director insisted she take some time off. Coincidentally, Tiffany invited her out for dinner, and they met at the nearby square.
