Doris angrily hung up the phone and then, not ready to give up, shot a text to Athena.

"If you don't believe me, just wait and see tonight. He's definitely not coming home."

Athena knew deep down that Tyler wouldn't come back. With so many women in his life, he barely had time for her, the so-called "nanny" at home.

She understood, but it didn't hurt her anymore. As long as she could see his face, that was enough.

Meanwhile, over at the dinner party, Tyler had just settled into his seat when a high-profile starlet, whose fame was mostly due to her looks rather than any significant work, cozied up next to him, obediently serving him some food.

Tyler, being the player that he was, was instantly drawn to her face. He lifted her chin and asked plainly, "Are you clean?"

The directors and investors at the table chuckled knowingly. Tyler had clearly taken a liking to her.

"Spotless," one replied.

Tyler chuckled softly and pulled her into his lap. "Alright, you're coming with me tonight."

The group continued to drink and chat, and Bert, sitting nearby, couldn't help but boast, "I thought you weren't coming out tonight. Is the missus at home?"

The others chimed in, "Is Mr. Bennitt secretly married?"

Bert took a swig of his drink. "No way! Didn't he say it before? Anyone who gets married is a fool. This life's too much fun to tie yourself down."

Laughter erupted again as Tyler fed the girl some wine. But Bert's words made Athena's face flash in his mind.

Bert continued, "Tyler's all about living in the moment since that surgery a few years back."

He gave Tyler a cheeky nudge. "Right?"

Tyler pulled the woman closer, a casual smile on his lips. "Exactly."

Someone grew curious, "What surgery?"

Tyler took a sip of his drink, passing it to the girl's lips. "Oh, that was six or seven years ago. Had an organ transplant."

The topic shifted back to scripts and actors as the curiosity faded.

When the gathering wrapped up, Tyler took the woman to the

restroom in their private room net

In the room, only Bert was left. He had called Tyler's house, asking someone to tell Athena that Tyler was drunk and needed her to pick him up.

Now, with the scene unfolding in the restroom, Athena was bound to walk in on them.

Both Bert and Tyler relished the drama, always seeking inspiration for their work. Tyler had once said Athena was the most devoted. Bert was curious to see just how devoted she could be.

When Athena's face appeared, Bert lit a cigarette and nodded toward the

restroom. "The person you're looking for is in there."

Athena thanked him and headed towards the restroom.

But as the sounds inside reached her ears, she hesitated, then slowly returned to sit beside Bert.

Bert raised an eyebrow. "Not leaving? Tyler said you're his most loyal fan. Seems he was right."

Athena lowered her lashes, placing the lunchbox beside her. "He has stomach issues. I made him some soup with herbs. Make sure be drinks some when he comes out."

Damn! Bert nearly dropped his cigarette.
