Augheimer walked Ramont to his room before coming out to see Wilbur scowling at him. "Why did you do this, Augheimer? You know I always saw you as a friend, and this is how you treat me? You made me help you kill Adela! You know Adela is Odysseus' Senior Guard and killing him is a great offense to Odysseus. You did this to stop me from advancing to the upper dimensions, didn't you?"

Augheimer lowered his head. He had known that Wilbur would eventually find out about this, just not so soon. Augheimer would have died just now if Wilbur had not been there, and thus could not retaliate at all.

After a brief silence, Augheimer said, "I'm sorry.'

"I don't want to hear that! I treated you like a friend, but you used me! This is the last time I'm helping you! We're done!"

Wilbur turned to leave after that, and Augheimer sighed as he watched him.

Coming out of the ruler's residence, Wilbur did not return to the Robert family. Instead, he headed to the nearest bar, drinking up a storm in a private room.

Wilbur just had to cultivate up to a hundred thousand years and finally qualified to go to Light Town, where he would be headed for the upper dimensions after passing the test. However, that was before he had crossed Odysseus. Now, Odysseus was sure to get back at Wilbur, and his dreams of advancing to the upper dimensions were thus crushed.

Augheimer was Wilbur's only friend from Earth in the middle dimensions, and Wilbur had always seen him as a brother. It would hurt less if anyone else had betrayed him, but an old friend had ruined Wilbur's future, and he was nothing but furious and disappointed.

Wilbur drank to his heart's content at the bar before returning to the Robert family and falling fast asleep. He slept for three whole days and awoke to the sound of Liam talking to a servant outside the door.

"What's going on in there? Trevor hasn't come out in three days, should we go and check on him?"

"I'm sure he'll wake up in a bit, my lord. Don't worry."noveldrama

Wilbur opened the doors, stretching and yawning as he emerged from the room. "My apologies, Lord Liam. I fell asleep after drinking too much and slept for a few days. Sorry for making you worry."

"No, it's alright as long as you're in one piece!" Liam smiled. "Trevor, do you remember what I spoke to you about?"

"Ah, yes. The Andrew family didn't send the cultivator over as they had promised."

"No, they ended up doing that. You were out that morning, and the Andrew family sent the spirit curse cultivator over later in the day."

"I was going to introduce you to each other, but you were busy, so you missed it. How about I arrange for a meeting at noon? I figured it's time you met."

"Sure, Lord Liam."
