Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 812

Kory and his wife's chests lurched at those words.

It was unclear to them just who was being unfair here.

The officers hauled Jayen onto a chair, pressing him down by force.

Jayen was black and blue all over, with blood dribbling out of his nostrils as he slumped against the chair, heaving in pain.

Bobby and the other men nearly wet their pants, collapsing to the ground as some of them even broke into tears.

At last, Belinda coughed up the truth.

It turned out that Jerm had worked together with a businessman to steal Kory's information to take out a loan in his name for eighty million dollars. Both Jerm and the businessman had split the money equally.

Eventually, when the loan was due, Jerm had Belinda fake the loan procedures to make this look like a case of bad debt.

They had done similar things in the past before as well, only for bank security to grow stricter in the next three years.

Faking a case of bad debt was not going to work.

That was why they had hunted Kory down to frame him with the debt.

Jerm had pulled a lot of his contacts, as well as spent a good deal of money to get this done.

He had even found a debt-collecting company, Jayen's, to carry out the

repayment demands to show that he had tried his best.

What happened to Kory and his family was hardly Jerm's concern.

Belinda revealed everything, not daring to hide a single detail in the presence of Wilbur's authority.

Kory was furious after hearing the truth.

These bastards hardly saw regular folk like Kory as human.

They would do whatever it took to get themselves out of trouble, even if it cost an innocent man's life.

"You're all animals!" Kory could not help but shout, flying to his feet.noveldrama

Belinda lowered her head, not even daring to look him in the eye.

Jerm was currently a crumpled heap in his chair, unable to get a word out.

Faron got up to comfort Kory and had him sit down.

Just then, Wilbur said, "Jerm Donner, do you admit to everything Belinda Hogan just said?"

Jerm had been scared out of his wits ever since he set foot on Sealake Island. He was certain that he would be taken out before he could even say a thing.

In the face of such overwhelming pressure, he had no choice but to nod and admit to everything.

Wilbur looked at Jayen, who was barely alive at that point. "Did you know about all of this, Jayen Toss?"

"I... I do." Gone was any of Jayen's cockiness from before, and he had no choice but to admit to what he had done.

Wilbur flew to his feet, staring at everyone coldly. "You bastards are willing to drive a whole family to their death for your own benefit. Kory Hunlip and his family would be dead had I not bumped into them. How do you think you should be dealt with?"

"I'll serve whatever I'm sentenced to, sir! Please, I'll tell you anything," Belinda sobbed as she begged Wilbur.

She was truly terrified.

Wilbur had nearly beaten Jayen to death, and Belinda felt like she herself would not be able to make it out of here alive if she were to be kept here any longer.

Jerm nodded furiously as well. All the both of them wanted was to be punished by the law, and not have to spend another second here with this monster.

Jayen's chest heaved as he rasped, "It's my fault, sir. Please let me go."

Wilbur sneered coldly, saying nothing as he stared on coldly.

All three people trembled before him, terrified that Wilbur was going to seal their fate right then and there.

At last, however, Wilbur seemed to be bored and turned to leave.

At the door, he said, "You guys can take care of the rest. I'm a little tired."

He left after saying that.

Faron and Elsa exchanged glances.

Faron called out, "Arrest Jerm Donner and Belinda Hogan, and interrogate them through the night."
