Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 827

The conflict would eventually come, and Everest Foreign Trade would be toast if they were involved.

It seemed like there was no talking to Hannah anymore.

Wilbur fell silent for a while before saying, "Well then, Miss Toya, could you tell me how I can go about legally setting up my own armed force?"

"A legal armed force?" Hannah let out a snort of disdain. "All the armed forces you see here are illegal, aside from the government itself. Even my own security team has a strictly enforced limit on manpower and weapons, you can forget about it."

Wilbur could not help but sigh.

Whether it was an armed force or an organized religion, going about this legally was obviously the best way.

Wilbur could not make an enemy out of the local government here, after all.

On top of that, there was the risk of running into conflict with the Church of Holy Illuminati among other forces.

After giving it some thought, Wilbur said, "Miss Toya, where should I go to set up my own religion here?"

Hannah blinked at him for a long while. "I'd really like to know what goes on in that head of yours. Did Cape send you to just screw around?"noveldrama

She really was utterly disappointed in Wilbur.

It was bad enough that he was of no help, but he also had the craziest ideas. Here he was, trying to start his own religion.

What was Cape thinking, sending someone like him over?

"I'm not joking, Miss Toya," Wilbur said calmly.

Hannah took a deep breath. "Head to the Religious Bureau in Goldsand City. You might not get it, though."

"Why is that?" Wilbur asked.

Hannah snorted. "This country has a thousand tribes with a million religions, and most people believe in the Church of Holy Illuminati. You might end up dead before you even get to see your religion come to be, and I'm not going to be responsible for that."

"Don't worry, I won't need you to be responsible, but can you get me in touch with the person in charge at the Religious Bureau?" asked Wilbur.

Hannah frowned at him. "What are you trying to do here?"

"You don't have to worry about that. Just get me in touch with the guy."

Hannah stared at the oblivious look on Wilbur's face, wanting nothing more than

to drive her heels into it. Was she not already busy enough?

"C'mon, Miss Toya. Help a guy out, won't you?" Wilbur smiled.

Hannah sighed. It would also be good to get this guy out of her hair as soon as possible. "I do happen to know someone, and I can get you in touch with him. However, I'm not going with you to meet him. I'm busy."

"Of course. That's fine," Wilbur smiled.

"I'll call you," said Hannah impatiently.

Wilbur smiled, before turning to leave.

That night, Wilbur sat in one of the private rooms at Lute Ocean Restaurant smoking a cigarette.

Not long after, he was joined by a fat, middle-aged man, and another man.

The fat man looked at Wilbur. He struggled to squeeze himself into a chair before saying coldly, "You have ten minutes, Mister Penn, and you only have them because of Miss Toya. Out with it."

Wilbur smiled before glancing at the other man who was probably this guy's assistant. "I'd like to talk with you in private, Captain Affie. Are you alright with that?"

"In private?" Affie raised an eyebrow.

Wilbur nodded.

Affie

gave it some thought, before turning to his assistant. "Wait for me outside." After the man was gone, Wilbur opened the suitcase he had brought along with him before turning it around and pushing it over to Affie with a smile. "I'd like to form my own religion here, Captain Affie. Here's a token of appreciation for you."

Affie's expression turned solemn and slammed the suitcase shut. "I'm sure you'll get that religion established in no time, sir."

"Could I get my license by tomorrow, then?" Wilbur asked, leaning back in his chair with a smile.
