Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 828

Affie stared at Wilbur. "It's yours by tomorrow afternoon, Mister Penn."

"Wonderful. It's a pleasure working with you." Wilbur stuck out a hand and shook Affie's, both men exchanging a smile.

...

The next afternoon, Wilbur let out a satisfied smile at the document in his hand.

The Church of the Fire Dragon Lord.

After taking a good look at it, Wilbur tossed it into his demiplane before heading over to Hannah's office in Everest headquarters.

"Miss Toya?" Wilbur knocked on the door.

Hannah was in the middle of looking through some files and frowned at the sight of him. "Is anything the matter?"

"Oh, I was planning to go out. I might take quite some time," said Wilbur.

Hannah paused, before smiling at him. "Go ahead. Take as much time as you need."

She would rather have this idiot as far away from her as possible. He could do whatever he wanted as long as he did not meddle with Everest Foreign Trade.

Wilbur smiled, getting up to leave.

At least he had told Hannah.

Wilbur had thought it through. He was going to properly establish the Church of the Fire Dragon Lord.noveldrama

Once he had gained the power of faith, he could first try to understand how this power was formed and get to the bottom of its secrets.

Next, Everest Foreign Trade would also be protected by this power.

A religion could be more than its followers. It could also own an armed force with no problem.

With that around, the safety issues over at Everest would be no big deal.

After all, not everyone has had the opportunity to use a religion like this.

After Wilbur was gone, Hannah put her files down and fell deep into thought.

She had already been trying to find out more about that godlike savior from the other day but to no avail.

No one had ever heard of him, nor had he ever appeared before this.

Hannah had been extremely anxious over this.

If only she had left a contact behind.

She had missed that opportunity in her hurry to get her father to the hospital.

The thought of that man made Hannah sink into a fantasy, even rendering her unable to focus.

That man was really so charming.

Meanwhile, Wilbur was in a cab chatting with Moses.

Moses chatted away happily, and Wilbur answered every time he could.

This lasted all the way until the evening when Moses could not drive on anymore.

Wilbur handed him a stack of money.

Moses was delighted with his generosity and drove off happily after a slew of appreciation.

Wilbur smiled. He summoned the flame serpent, then soared off into the heavens on its back.

Just then, over at the house of Lars Harriet, the Minister of Defense, someone came rushing in in a hurry, calling out to Lars while he was in the middle of drinking some wine. "Sir, Keith Sackler is dead."

The wine glass Lars was holding was hurled to the ground, shattering at once.

Lars looked over at the man coldly. "What happened?"

"He was murdered, along with more than half of his men."

"Who did this?"

"We're not sure yet, but it seems to be related to a company named Everest Foreign Trade."

Lars' gaze narrowed.

"Tell Karl that one of his disciples has been murdered and have him take care of

it. Kill the rest of Keith's men, don't leave a single survivor."

"Yes, sir."

"Get someone to keep an eye on Everest Foreign Trade and see what they're up to."

"Yes, sir."

"We're going to have to find someone else now that Keith is dead. Tell Henrod that I can give him the support he needs, but he'll have to pay half the amount upfront."

"Yes, sir."

"You can leave now."

The man bowed, turning away hurriedly.
