Chapter 829
Henrod paced about in his living room, his brows tightly furrowed.noveldrama
Anyone standing in the way of him making money was a dead man.
Over at Saturn Village.
Wilbur arrived at the inn where he had stayed previously.
There was still light out, and there were no miners getting drunk out in the lounge.
The server greeted Wilbur warmly before widening her eyes in shock.
"Hello," Wilbur smiled.
The server blinked at him, before asking, "S-Sir, are you looking to stay the night?"
"I'd like to have a talk with your boss. Can you take me to him?" Wilbur took out a stack of bills and put them on the counter.
The server lit up at once, gathering the money up and stuffing it into her pocket.
"I'll get him right this second. You really are a good man, sir. My name's Lacey, you can come looking for me if there's anything else you might need," Lacey smiled.
Wilbur nodded with a smile of his own.
Lacey rushed off to the second floor at once.
Wilbur sat in the lounge smoking.
Not long after, a fat, middle-aged man was brought over to Wilbur by Lacey.
The man sat down. "Sir, I didn't know a thing about what happened with Tulu and the rest, nor do I know anything now."
"That's fine. I'm not here to talk about that," Wilbur smiled.
The fat man stared at Wilbur for a long time before saying, "My name's Akata. What would you like to talk about?"
"I'd like to buy your inn. Name your price," Wilbur said, getting straight to the point.
Akata stopped short, before saying, "Sir, my father left me this inn. I'm not selling
it."
"Yeah? Just name a price, anything you want. I'll pay," said Wilbur.
Akata fell silent.
Wilbur smiled. "I still don't think there's anything money can't buy."
Akata stared at Wilbur, the rolls on his neck bulging.
"Twenty million dollars," he called out loudly.
Lacey's mouth fell open.
This dump of an inn was worth five hundred thousand dollars at most.
Wilbur frowned, and Akata said at once, "What's wrong? Too steep?"
"No, not at all. Can we sign the contract now?" Wilbur asked.
It was now Akata's turn to be shocked, and he stared at Wilbur dumbly.
Lacey's jaw was practically on the ground. Was this man actually spending twenty million dollars on this run-down inn?
He would never get that money back. Was he out of his mind?
Akata stared at Wilbur in shock. "Are you sure you're not pulling my leg?"
Wilbur put his phone down on the table. "Sign the contract now, and I'll send the money over."
A while later, Akata flew to his feet. "Of course, sir. Let me get the deed over and we can sign the deal right away."
Wilbur nodded with a smile, and Akata sped up the stairs to the safe in his room.
Not long after, Wilbur got himself a land deed and a contract.
Meanwhile, Akata received 20 million dollars in his account.
"The inn's yours now, Mister Penn." Akata was elated.
This was money he would never have the chance to see in a lifetime. He was rich now!
Wilbur nodded with a smile, and Akata ran out of the inn. He was off to the big city now, to enjoy his new life.
Just then, Lacey sat down next to Wilbur, rubbing her chest against his arm like before. "What about me, sir?"
"How many people are there working here?" asked Wilbur.
"Three servers and two chefs."
"You can all stay and keep working. I'll double your salaries."
"Really?" Lacey was overjoyed.
Just then, a frail, wrinkled man in his fifties made his way in slowly. His gaze landed on Wilbur.
Lacey felt at once like she had been dunked into an ice bath.
A terrifying aura washed over her.
What do you think?
