Tangled Temptations

Just as Harvey was about to drive home, his phone suddenly rang.

It was a call from his client.

His client's voice trembled anxiously, "Attorney, they suddenly have new evidence, and it's really bad for me!"

Holding the steering wheel, Harvey took a deep breath.

Frowning, he said, "Send me the files!"

After hanging up, he quickly received the files. It seemed like a tough nut to crack.

Harvey, being a very career-oriented man, didn't hesitate to get out of the car, go back to his law firm, and declare that he was pulling an all-nighter.

The office was instantly filled with sighs.

It wasn't until 3 in the morning that Harvey remembered he'd promised Eloise he'd be home that night. She probably had dinner ready for him and had drawn a bath.

In the end, he just sent her a message: I got some urgent work to do. I'll meet you at the hotel tomorrow night.

Just as he finished sending the message, Denise walked in with a stack of documents.

"Attorney, the meeting is ready."

Late at night, at the apartment.

Eloise was slumped over the dining table, her face paled under the dim light.

Her phone vibrated a few times on the table.

Eloise woke with a start. After seeing the message, she knew he couldn't be home tonight. She stared at the message for a while before slowly clearing the table and letting out the bathwater.

The bathwater, which had been filled with essential oils, was completely cold.

After taking a quick wash, Eloise climbed into bed. Despite being tired, she couldn't fall asleep, probably because she missed him.

The next morning, Veronica called her.

Eloise's voice was a bit hoarse as she answered.

Veronica joked, "It's almost 10, Eloise. Are you still sleeping? Looks like Attorney has some stamina."

Eloise's cheeks turned a little red.

"Don't talk nonsense! Harvey didn't come home last night."

Veronica changed the topic, "Anyway, I just wanted to remind you to dress up tonight. We have a big battle to fight! Even though we might not be teaching anymore, we can't just let that jerk get away with what he's done."

Eloise gratefully said, "Thank you, Veronica."

Veronica coughed lightly on the other end, "No need to be so formal, just don't forget about me when you make it big!"

Eloise laughed.

After hanging up, she thought about Harvey's broken promise from last night.

Slyly, Eloise ordered a nourishing lunch for Harvey. After doing this, she cheerfully rolled around in bed a few times.

She did nothing else, just waiting for Attorney's response.

About half an hour later, Harvey sent a message: I'll tell you tonight if I need this!

Eloise looked at her phone, feeling very shy.

She typed out a message: Looking forward to seeing you!

After sending the message, she didn't pay any more attention to Harvey. She ate something, then started taking a bath, washing her hair, applying a face mask. Eloise felt she'd never been this meticulous.

Wrapped in a towel, Eloise walked into the dressing room and picked out a deep coffee-coloured mini dress.

The design was simple.

But the tight silk fabric was overlaid with a layer of sheer material.

The dark coffee colour made Eloise's skin look even smoother, exuding mature feminine charm. She blew her hair into soft curls and spent half an hour putting on makeup.

After she finished, she looked at herself in the mirror.

She looked even more beautiful than she'd imagined!

Eloise's cheeks turned slightly red as she imagined hugging and kissing Harvey in

this outfit. Just the thought made her full of anticipation!

It was getting late, so Eloise prepared to take a taxi.

But as soon as she walked downstairs, she saw a black luxury car parked outside,

with a pair of long legs leaning against the expensive vehicle.

Classic British suit, polished shoes, not to mention the face that was even more handsome and charming than usual.
