The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage)

Book 3 Chapter 3.

Maverick POV.

Being part of a club is going to take some getting used to. I have been a nomad for the past six years, just roaming the country and living my life. Searching for something. That piece of me that is missing.

I didn't know about Melody. If I had known sooner, I would have taken her sooner. Her bitch of a mother, if you can call her that, was neglecting her. The club she was part of should have protected her, but they didn't. The Sons Of Hades.

The word was that the club was in dire straits. They were selling their club whores, pimping them out, beating them into submission. I don't even want to think about what they would have done with Melody if I had never found out about her.

I was in a different territory when I heard the whispers about that club. They weren't always like that. They were successful, but something happened and they declined rapidly. They asked for help from The Princes Of Darkness and was declined that help.

Dylan got word to me of a child who looked like me in that club. It took me three days of non-stop riding to get back to the club. Something inside of me knew he wasn't blowing smoke up my ass.

When I arrived back there, the clubhouse was falling apart. It looked like an abandoned building. The club members and the club girls were worse for wear. They had all turned to drugs and alcohol, hard.

I was disgusted when I walk in; the place was a mess, and it stunk of piss. They had lost their way and they will never regain any form of respect from any club again.

I found Felicity on her back on the pool table, getting fucked raw by two of the members. I was livid; she was never my woman, but she was the only woman I slept with here years before. I got into a fight; it didn't take much to knock the men out. I dragged her off the table. She could barely stand. She was out of her head on something. She even tried to grab me through my jeans and kiss me. I shoved her away from me.

We argued, and Melody was bought to me. The poor kid was dirty, her hair greasy, her clothes were too small, she was terrified. I slapped her mother and told her I was taking Melody with me. She told me I wasn't taking her unless I paid the price.

I'm not proud of it, but I did. I had to, to get Melody out of there. So I paid that whore money, four grand. A thousand dollars for each year she was alive. I bought my daughter like she was groceries. Felicity signed her over, and I got Melody out of there.

I took her to the nearest hospital to get her checked and a DNA test was performed. We both stayed in the hospital for two weeks. Of course, the result came back that she was my daughter. The authorities got involved and went to the clubhouse, but the place was abandoned and they couldn't find the members or Felicity anywhere.

Social Services had no problem with me looking after Melody, but they recommended that I move to another club permanently. I had already spoken to Dylan, and he agreed to take me and to help me find a home for me and my little girl.

That was two months ago. Melody is thriving, and she is doing so much better. She is gaining weight and sleeps beside me of a night. She has night terrors and will be starting therapy soon to help her overcome what she went through.

I would do anything for my little girl. I feel nothing but guilt because I didn't know about her and this could have been avoided if I had known sooner.

Watching her this morning engaging with the other children and singing along to the songs at story time made me smile. She is being a kid and I can see the changes in her every day that she is with me.

But I couldn't help but look at the woman sitting with pens in her hair typing away on her laptop. Harmony, the daughter of the infamous assassin, Rebel Moretti- Jackson. Daughter of Angel Moretti and Ryder Savage Jackson. Those names hold a lot of weight in both the world of the MC and the Mafia.

Harmony is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. She is kind and smart. The way she spoke to not only me but Melody was something most don't. Most people see me and walk away or even cross the road.

I know how I look to others, being over six feet and packed with muscle. But I know it's my eyes that make people nervous. They are silver grey and so they make me look cold. But Harmony didn't even flinch, and neither did the moms and dads this morning. It felt nice.

When we left the coffee book shop, Melody was so chatty and all she talked about was Harmony or, as she called her, the pretty lady who gave her a muffin. I chuckled when she said that.

When we came in to the clubhouse from viewing a house and taking Melody to her new school. Those honey coloured eyes found me. Melody was off talking to one of the ole ladies who was bottle feeding her baby.noveldrama

Rebel called me over and I could see Harmony stiffen slightly before she stood up and walked away. When Rebel suggested Harmony show me and Melody around town, she glared at her mom and was blushing. God, she looks cute.

I was about to tell her it wouldn't be necessary when church was called. With me not being a sworn member, I don't get the honour of being in that room. But Dylan looked at me and nodded his head for me to enter. I looked at Michelle and she smiled at me.

"She will be ok with me. She is helping with Elijah." She says as Melody talks to the baby.

"Thank you." I say and she waves me off and I enter the room, standing at the back.

"Ok, so brother's we are here to discuss three things. First thing is Harmony has put to us a business proposal to open a new bar in town. She has made a success of her coffee book shop and wants to open this bar. Harmony, tell us your vision." Dylan says and Harmony smiles as she stands up from her chair. The brothers all look at her and she smiles at them.

“Well, as dad has just said, I want to open a bar. It will generate jobs for the local community and that means more money being raised for those in need. It won't be a bar like we have here. It will be a restaurant during the day and a lively bar of a night. It won't pull attention from here. I know you will probably object, but I don't actually care. It will not be affiliated with the club in any way. So either way, boys, it's happening." She says, and I smirk at her. The brothers all chuckle at her.

"Do we get to remodel the inside again or will you bring in outside contractors?” One of the brothers asks. I think he is called Tank, and she looks at him and smiles.

"Oh, like I would do that to you. Besides, I don't want to step on anyone's toes with this. So have at it. No doubt the family will be involved like they were in the shop." She says and the brother's nod and agree with her.

"Ok, so all for Harmony opening her bar?" Dylan calls out and the brothers all raise their hands and I do the same. He bangs the gavel, and it has been decided Harmony gets to open her bar. She squeals and hugs her family and I smile.

"Thank you guys, love you all." She smiles and leaves the room, doing a happy dance with her mom behind her.

"Ok, now she is happy. Right on to the second order of business. We all have known Maverick for years, and we all know why he and little Melody are here. So how do we feel about bringing him and his daughter permanently into the fold?" Dylan asks and the brothers shout, aye.

"Welcome to The Princes Of Darkness, Outlaw." Dylan says and I smile. It has been a long time since I was called that. I nod my head at him. The brothers clap me on the back, welcoming me.

"Now, what do we do about the Sons Of Hades?"
