Chapter 1614
Grady lingered quietly for a bit before slipping out of the office.
Outside the station, his crew was still on duty. When they spotted him, one of them quickly whispered, "Grady."
Grady gave a slight nod, thinking for a moment before saying, "Head to the hospital and bring Summer out."noveldrama
The guy nodded, "Got it."
"Oh, and while you're at it, find a psych ward," Grady added, hands tucked behind
his back, eyes fixed on something outside.
Since Miss Mira said it was a mental issue, that's where she should be, he figured.
The guy shot him a quick look, unsure of the plan, but guessed it had something to do with Summer, so he just followed orders.
Not long after, he headed out.
Grady waited outside until Mirabella came out, and then he personally took her back to the hotel.

Over at Riverside University.
Joen was stuck in the lab, waiting for Summer to show up with the person.
By three in the afternoon, he'd heard nothing, so he decided to call her.
As soon as she picked up, he snapped, "Summer, what are you doing? Where's that person? Weren't they supposed to be here by noon? Why aren't they here yet?"
Joen was really losing his patience, and it showed in his tone.
When Summer didn't reply, he lost it, "Are you mute or something? Say something!"
Then, just like that, the call ended with a beep.
Joen's face turned dark.
Did she just hang up on him?
He tried calling her again, but her phone was off, unreachable.
Pacing the office with his phone, he cooled down and realized something was off.
Summer wasn't the type to hang up; if something was up, she'd tell him.
Joen paused, then called the admin office to check.
What he found out almost made him blow a fuse.
"What an idiot!" he muttered, rubbing his temples, before dialing another number. "Go to St. Mary's Hospital and bring Summer back to campus... actually, take her straight to the research base."
The person on the other end agreed.
Joen hung up, hoping she wouldn't end up with those who'd been watching her.
Half an hour later.
The person he'd sent to the hospital came back empty-handed.
"Did you find out who took her?" Joen asked, gripping his phone.
"The hospital said it was her family."
"That's bull. She doesn't have family here," Joen cursed, knowing her background inside out.
It seemed she was with those who'd been tailing her.
Thinking of his research, Joen barked into the phone, "You need to find Summer and bring her back."
Damn, she's more trouble than she's worth.

He kicked his feet up on the table,, sitting there for a few minutes, lost in thought. Then he turned slightly, telling the person nearby, "Bring Summer here."
The subordinate glanced at him cautiously and nodded.
In no time, they dragged Summer up from the holding room, dropping her unceremoniously on the floor.
What do you think?
