Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 815

Hannah now prayed that Cape would get someone over as soon as possible who could think of a way to save her father.

Just then, her secretary knocked on the door. "Miss Toya, the guy from Cape's

here."

"Bring him in, quick!" Hannah lit up at once, surprised at how soon they had

shown up.

The secretary turned around and gestured to someone outside, and a young man walked into the office.

Hannah gave him a once-over.

The man looked to be in his twenties. He had sharp features but looked pretty ordinary overall.

"Hello. You're Miss Hannah Toya, right?" asked the young man.

Hannah nodded, getting up and extending a hand to the young man. "Yes, I'm Hannah Toya. How should I address you?"

"My name's Wilbur Penn. Cape sent me to save your father," Wilbur said with a smile.

Hannah nodded, scrambling to brew Wilbur a pot of tea.

At the same time, Wilbur took a look at Hannah as well.

She was also in her twenties, sporting a pretty face and a healthy tan.

Hannah poured Wilbur a cup of tea, before sitting down next to him. "How many people did you bring with you, Mister Penn, and what's your plan?"noveldrama

"Oh, it's just me, and I haven't really got a plan," said Wilbur.

Hannah was dumbfounded for a moment before saying, "Are you joking? How are you going to be able to save my father on your own? They've got hundreds of men, and they're all armed."

"Just take me to where he is, and I'm sure I'll be able to save them," said Wilbur calmly.

Hannah frowned at his response. "That's not funny. I guess we're going to have to pay the ransom, then."

"What are you going to do the next time this happens? Pay the ransom again?" asked Wilbur.

Hannah's expression darkened. "Well, I can't just let my father die, can I? I need the money and I'm going to use it, regardless of whether or not Cape agrees to it. Harrod!"

She called out loud, and a buff man in his thirties walked in.

Wilbur and Harrod Lobby took a good look at each other.

Hannah said, " Prepare the ransom money. We're going to save my father."

"Won't that be too much of a risk, Madam?" Harrod asked with a frown.

Hannah took a deep breath. "There's no other choice. Call Keith Sackler and tell him we'll pay the ransom. He can decide how he wants to get the payment, but he'll have to send someone over to talk to me about it."

"I disagree with this," said Wilbur.

Hannah looked at him. "I'm saving my father, even if it means Cape backing out of the deal."

"We don't need that to happen. I told you I can go on my own as long as you give me a location. I swear it's safe, and I'll get your dad back," said Wilbur.

Harrod sneered before Hannah could even say anything. "I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation here, sir. Keith Sackler is a cultivator and a terrifying one at that. He also has five hundred men working for him, all of them armed. If you go on your own, Cape's going to have to pay another ransom just for you."

"I'm not going to let you treat my father's life like a joke, Mister Penn. It seems like Cape isn't to be trusted at all," Hannah said with an ashen expression.

Wilbur sighed. "You really don't trust us?"

"Am I supposed to bet on my father's life just to trust you?" Hannah retorted coldly.

Wilbur frowned. "I'm a cultivator too."

"So am I, but I'm not as stupid and arrogant as you are," Harrod said coldly.

Wilbur turned to Harrod with a smile. "Peak Aura level?"

"That's right," Harrod said. "Even I don't have the nerve to say something like that!"

"I'm at the Sanctuary level," Wilbur said with a smile.

Harrod was taken aback for a moment before shaking his head with a sigh. "I'll be damned if that's true. You don't exude the slightest bit of Sanctuary aura at all!"
